This place is a true gem! I am a self-proclaimed foodie and have Greek heritage, and I couldn’t have liked this place more!
The service was excellent, the woman who waited on us was very sweet, upbeat, and kind to my children. She memorized our order which was a nice touch.
She brought us an appetizer of toum with pickled veggies and oil, and bread, and it was truly delicious (so much garlic)! My kids loved it too!
The food came out fast… like really fast. My daughter got a lamb gyro and the flavor was on point! Absolutely delicious. My wife got chicken shawarma and I got sujouk. Again, awesome flavor, packed with all kinds of good stuff, and a perfect portion size.
My son got a burger… though he’ll eat just about anything, cheeseburgers are his favorite, and I didn’t expect this one to be good (it’s a Mediterranean restaurant after all)… I’m telling you, this plain cheeseburger was absolutely awesome! This was a kids menu cheeseburger and it was big, with a warm and soft bun, with enough flavor and moisture in the meat to not need ketchup or anything! They have other burgers (such as a gyro burger) that I never would have tried if it wasn’t for seeing and tasting the one my son ordered, but I will be back to get a burger!
Overall, this restaurant went from a “never heard of it” to one of my favorites in the GR area today, and I am already thinking about...
Read moreWe don't know why this place is rated so highly. We had high expectations because of the reviews and the interior pictures, but were left disappointed.
Food:
Most Tolerable: Sahara Gyro ($12) Despite the blandness, the meat was tender enough.
Most Looked Forwarded To: Chicken Shawarma Plate ($22) The portion size didn't reflect the price as it was quite a small portion. Otherwise, the meat was tender, but it was bland and dry. In addition, the white paste/sauce on the side was too sour and the bread was too dry and thin.
Worst: Pickles As part of the plate, it tasted like wet socks, in addition to being too sour and soft.
Complimentary Dish: Bread + Paste/Sauce The bread was tough and dry, along with the garlic paste/sauce being too sour. Hummus was tasteless.
Service: It was fine, the server greeted and seated us promptly upon entering and checked back a couple of times.
Atmosphere: The dining area was fairly minimalist and acceptably clean.
However, the bathroom was quite the contrast to the dining area. It wasn't sanitary, it reeked of urine and urine stains along with the sticky floor.
Overall: many of the dishes were either too bland or too sour...
Read moreThis is the 4th time I had ordered take out and it was a great experience all four times. This time it was even better. I ordered 6 items which included the hummus as an appetizer. Ordered a large. However, when I got home, there was no pita bread with the hummus. Was not happy. So why did I give them five stars? Here’s why. As human beings we all make mistakes one time or another. However, how we respond is key. So I called and talked with the person who handled the order. When I told her that there was no pita bread with the order, she was very apologetic. She sincerely apologized and gave me two options. One is to offer a refund and two was to give me however many pita breads I wanted it I’s stop by. So I chose the latter as I love hummus and needed the pita. I stopped by to pickup my pita bread and was offered twice as many AND also included an order of Baklava! And again offered a sincere apology for their mistake. This is customer service at its best. Oh and the food is super good and very reasonably priced. Thank you...
