Settlers' Park — Attraction in Plainfield

Park is near downtown Plainfield and nicely maintained. Grass is cut, theres an amphitheater where there are events throughout the summer. On the south end theres a playground too. Paved jogging / biking patch also with a bridge over the water. Theres some history on Plainfield in the pavers.

Also, quite a bit of activity here from Pokemon Go players. If you play, then this is a great spot for you, if you run or ride a bike, you'll have to watch out for people, although they seem to be out of the way most of the time.

Had free music concert Sunday afternoon. During summer has family friendly movie nights on Friday. Great walking trail by Electric Park and Mathers Woods. Within walking distance of downtown Plainfield with several restaurants and shops. Very close to the river. Has a playground and picnic area. People were having a birthday party in the picnic area. Big stocked pond for fishing. Has a pavilion with restrooms and concession stand. The concession stand has always been closed when I've been there so not sure...

Great small park and never too busy that people will get in your way around the trail. This park is my absolute go-to for Pokemon-Go community days. There are 4 Pokegyms just in the main circle alone, and probably 15+ Pokestops on the entire "park". This spot is also good to loop in with downtown plainfield when hitting stops and gyms on community days. There are a lot of geese that poop on a certain part of the track though, which is unfortunate but birds gonna do...
