Amazing Escape Room — Attraction in Plainsboro Township

My recent visit to Amazing Escape Room was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. While I must admit that the ambiance and overall setup of the escape room were praiseworthy, the crucial aspect of the entire experience - the puzzles - fell utterly flat, leaving us baffled and cheated out of an enjoyable escape room challenge.

Upon entering the room, we were immediately captivated by the theme and attention to detail. The decorations and atmosphere were on point, setting the stage for what could have been a thrilling adventure. The initial puzzles were relatively straightforward and helped build anticipation for what lay ahead.

Unfortunately, our enthusiasm was quickly squashed as we progressed further into the escape room. It became apparent that something was amiss with the puzzle mechanisms. We tried solving a particularly crucial puzzle that seemed to be the key to unlocking the final door, but despite our team's collective efforts and what we believed was the correct solution, the puzzle refused to respond.

Seeking assistance, we alerted the staff about the issue. They assured us that we were on the right track and that the puzzle was functioning correctly. This left us even more frustrated, as it seemed we were stuck in a loop of futility. Time continued to tick away as we repeatedly attempted to make the puzzle work, only to be met with unresponsiveness.

To add insult to injury, the staff's response to our frustration was dismissive and unsympathetic. Rather than offering genuine solutions or alternatives, they merely brushed off our concerns and suggested that we "try harder" or "think outside the box." It was evident that they were either ill-equipped to handle such situations or simply disinterested in helping us.

As the minutes dwindled away, so did our excitement and sense of accomplishment. In the end, we were left with no choice but to ask for a premature exit from the escape room, feeling utterly defeated and let down by the entire experience.

While I can appreciate the effort put into creating an immersive environment, the heart of any escape room lies in the puzzles and challenges presented to the participants. When those elements fail, the entire experience becomes a frustrating and unrewarding endeavor.

I cannot recommend Amazing Escape Room based on my experience. Until they address and rectify the malfunctioning puzzles and improve their customer service, I advise potential visitors to explore other escape rooms in the area for a more satisfying and genuinely...

Not so amazing. Our family have been to escape rooms in 3 different continents (some of us to over 50+ rooms, some to over 100+). We love local escape rooms and wanted to try this one out. First of all, it was a busy day for them so I understand the craziness that goes with that. But management should've anticipated it and staffed accordingly. There were not enough people managing the front. The lobby was crowded and chaotic (one plus, the lobby was very uniquely decorated with board games on the walls...that was cool). Secondly, once we were finally sent to our escape room (The Great Train Heist), we were told that we couldn't get a clue until the first 10 minutes and any clues after that would have to be 10 minutes apart. Basically, that means you can't get more than 5 clues IF you start asking for clues immediately after the first 10 minutes. Now, we are shameless when it comes to asking for help. If we are stuck, we are stuck. But we usually don't need more than 3-4 clues. We didn't ask for a clue until about 15 minutes in, which means we were limited to 4 clues max. Some of the first puzzles were straightforward but after that, we had quite a bit of difficulty. We asked for a clue and it took a minute or two to get a response (again, I understand...it was busy), but that also eats into our puzzle time AND our hint time. We got through a decent amount and then hit another wall. We were near the end of solving and asked for a clue. We still had enough time for 3 more clues. We ended up stuck on this one puzzle for the entire rest of our time in there. ALL THREE REMAINING CLUES were used for this ONE puzzle and we basically had to sit and wait for the next clue. The clues were not very clear to us and the waiting game sucked. We still tried to figure stuff out while waiting but never did and failed the room. We don't mind failing a room if we had a good time doing it. We did not have a good time. We will not...

Our team had the privilege of embarking on a thrilling team-building adventure at the escape room in Princeton, NJ. From the moment we stepped into the enigmatic corridors, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and camaraderie. Maya, our proficient Dungeon Master, seamlessly guided us through the captivating narrative, her enthusiasm adding layers to the mystique surrounding us.

We took on the challenge of deciphering two escape rooms back to back, each room unraveling a unique storyline that encouraged collaborative problem-solving and hearty laughter. The puzzles were well-thought-out and ingeniously intertwined with the theme, pushing us to think outside the box, together as a team.

Maya’s expertise and delightful demeanor enriched our experience manifold. Her hints were timely yet subtle, ensuring we were challenged yet never frustrated. She was a catalyst in transforming a room of colleagues into a unified force of problem-solvers.

The joy of cracking codes, the uproar of laughter at missed obvious clues, and the exhilarating rush of escaping the room as a more bonded team is an experience we will cherish. This adventure didn’t just challenge our intellect, but also left us with lasting memories and stronger camaraderie. The professional setup, the intriguing narrative, and above all, the exceptional guidance by Maya, made our outing a remarkable one. We left the escape room not just with a sense of achievement, but with closer bonds and joyful hearts.
