Blakfyre Games — Attraction in Pleasant Grove

My favorite game shop! Every time I've been in, the staff has been extremely helpful and friendly. Fantastic customer service that has never even veered close to being overbearing or cloying. It's refreshing to go into a store like this and have an enjoyable and pressure-free browsing session.

Blakfyre also has a fantastic selection and the staff has been more than willing to help out should something be out of stock. I've purchased boardgames, RPG materials, and wargaming supplies here many times and usually have no problem tracking down what I'm looking for. While the shop may seem smaller than some of the others I've been to around here, the variety is certainly there.

I haven't had a chance to play anything there, but the designated gaming area is pretty spacious and looks like a fantastic place to play whatever. From what I've heard though, the crowd that frequents Blakfyre are a pretty chill group.

All in all, I've never had an unpleasant experience here, and that's not something I can say about most game stores in Utah and Salt Lake counties. I actually look forward to stopping by when I need to pick something up. They have certainly earned a longtime...

Long-time shopper, first-time gamer!!!

As a first-time gamer, I wasn't sure what to expect when I visited Blakfyre Games two or three months ago. I was beyond pleasantly surprised as I walked through the door. The atmosphere is adult/kid and male/female friendly. The inside is open with plenty of space for people to wander around looking for their favorite game or to sit down at a table with three or four good natured gamers for a fun, and floop-filled Adventure Time Card Wars game (a game the owner ordered for me after a casual Adventure Time Card Wars discussion). The room is well lit with a bright paint color scheme providing a deep contrast to the stereotypical dungeon look and feel some might expect. I highly recommend Blakfyre Games for experienced and new gamers. Most importantly, I would feel comfortable sending my wife and kids there (on their own). First and last time I go back here. Poorly run tournament, which starts off by running two hours from listed start time. T.O. doesn't play the game or understand the rules. The store owner comes out and tells everyone to use inside voices, keep in mind there are at least 35+ people playing games. Before the tournament starts the store owner tell everyone to watch the swearing, which I can understand but at the same time don't host something if you are going to add all these cavets. First and last time I go here. If you play X-Wing go elsewhere, there are many other places you can go.
