PLEASE READ before you do business with them! I sadly had an unprofessional and bad customer service experience. I went into the JZ styles salon to get one row of my extension fixed. I had a show that night and one part (like two beads) of my extension was loose that I just needed feeling more secure. I did not have an appointment but I just walked into the salon knowing they probably might not be able to get me in. I told the sweet receptionist my situation and if she could have someone help me. If not no big deal. She told me she would go ask. She came back and told me someone would be able to help me. Happy, I greeted my stylist and she took me back. I was super friendly with her, complimented her and asked her some questions to get to know her. She wasn't warm and friendly back to me but I gave the benefit of the doubt that we all have our hard days. As she looked at the row of extensions she told me it was matted and that because it wasn't her installation work she would charge extra. I had no problem and agreed because I couldn't see my extensions as they are in the back of my head. She then said that she wanted to take the whole row off and redo it. At first I was hesitant as I had not too long ago got them moved up (1 week previous) and I was just coming in for a little part that felt insecure. Regardless, I trusted her as the professional and said okay. She called over her manager and informed her she had an appointment coming in, in about 15 minutes and if she could find someone else to help out. The manager said that was no problem and I thought everything was going good. I wasn't worried if someone needed to switch her or whatnot I just wanted my extension fixed. She then removed my extension. After taking it off she told me she would be right back and that she had to grab something from the back... When she returned her manager was alongside with her. The manager started talking. She said that unfortunately they would not be able to fix my extension because my extension was matted and because the stylist thought that I just needed one bead fixed. Weird, I did only want one bead fixed. She also said she has an appointment in a couple minutes and that she needs to get to them. At this point I am very confused but here is where I got hit with a curveball. The manager then says I will need to pay the FULL AMOUNT of the service I was SUPPOSED to get done but that they wouldn't do anything for me. So here I am almost to the point of tears confused and feeling mistreated for nothing that I have done wrong. The stylist is there behind me the whole time not saying a word (when she went to the "back to grab something" she lied she went to go talk to the manager instead). I then informed her that I came in only needing the part that felt loose fixed and that I knew I didn't have an appointment and might not get in, but that is why I asked first. I was appalled that they wanted me to pay for a service that I didn't get done. I would have gladly kept my loose extension in if I knew they would've taken out the whole row and not put it back in. If the stylist knew she wouldn't have time to fix the problem she should've first not taken out the extension and let me know. She could've said something like, hey we won't have time to be able to do this today and I don't want to get started knowing I won't finish. But instead here they were making me feel bad for nothing that I had done and wanting me TO PAY?I kept repeating myself and the manager finally said okay we won't charge you but we can't do anything for you. I said okay so I grabbed my taken out extension ready to leave. The stylist then spoke up and said good luck at your performance I hope it will maybe be easier for you to do your hair without that piece now. I took a look at my "matted extension" so see NO MATTING and it looked like it was in great condition. Not to mention I had just bought these extensions 3 weeks prior (brand new from JZ styles). You are recommended to get your extensions moved up after 6 weeks...CONT. ON MY OTHER GMAIL...
Read moreI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ANTI-PROFESSIONAL PLACE. Honestly, it's the most anti-professional place I've been. Two months ago they did one of the worst things to my hair because they were lazy. Unfortunately, the person who always did my hair no longer worked in the salon and they gave me a person with very little experience to do my hair, and that person wasn't as professional to remove the glue from the previous extensions. Not only did it hurt my hair but it left me with glue from the previous extensions. It was so hard for me to wash my hair, comb my hair, or fix it. I went with the OWNER OF THE PLACE (JESSICA) and, when she saw me, it was normal, according to her, that it was because of the heat and when my husband explained to her that he was one of her workers, that had done the atrocity, IN MY HAIR, HER EXPRESSION CHANGED TO UPSET. Then she said they would do 20% off to solve the problem, she directed me to a stylist, but this girl did not know how big the problem was. The stylist had to work FOR 4 HOURS TRYING TO REMOVE THE GLUE FROM THE HAIR After she started, it bothered starting bothering her to see that it was very difficult, so she went with a very nasty character named RICKY. This person said that it was my fault without knowing the story. It bothered me a lot working with them at that moment since he was trying to say it was my fault without knowing anything of what had happened. AFTER TAKING OUT ALL THE REST OF THE GLUE AND I A LOT OF HAIR HAD FALLEN OUT AFTER 4 HRS, THE GIRL LOOKING VERY FORCED AND NOT WANTING TO, PAINTED MY HAIR BLACK AND SEWED IN HAIR EXTENSIONS. AFTER SHE FINISHED AND AFTER SEEING THAT IT WAS BIGGER PROBLEM THAT HAD BEEN DONE TO MY HAIR, THEY GAVE ME A 40% DISCOUNT, BUT AFTER 3 DAYS, THE BLACK, DARK CHOCOLATE COLOR HAD FALLEN WITH A JUST A SINGLE HAIR WASH AND IT WAS SO FRUSTRATING. I decided to go somewhere so they could color my hair, remove the extensions so that the color would match the extensions that I had paid over 300 dollars for and then they had to put the extensions back in. IT IS SERIOUSLY A SUPER BAD SERVICE AND BEYOND THAT THEY MAKE YOU FEEL THAT EVERYTHING IS YOUR FAULT AND THAT YOU ARE PROBLEMATIC TO ASK THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM THAT THEY HAVE CAUSED AND REQUESTED NICELY A FIX THAT WILL HELP RESOLVE THE JOB THAT HAD BEEN DONE. THIS WAS NOT FREE OF EXPENSES AND COST ME $275.00 USD AND THAT WAS WITH THE "40%". I had a favorite stylist who a while ago no longer worked there, but every time she did my hair, she always was able to get to the color I wanted and she never hurt my hair and it was fabulous. IT WAS THE ONLY REASON I WOULD GO TO THIS PLACE. PD: Jz Styles assume responsibility for the mistakes of the novices they commit of your workers, be professional when hiring and stops blaming the clients. Please also clean around your workspace because it is very dirty.
PLEASE, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I HAVE A LOT OF PROOF, IT IS A WASTE...
Read moreI was very excited to go to Jessi (owner of JZ Styles Salon) after attending her training classes and following her on Instagram. However, my experience did not live up to the hype & has been my worst experience at a salon to date.. :( I have never left a salon feeling so terrible.
RESULTS: I had asked for a few blended caramels in my dark hair and walked out with a full, over-processed highlight (nowhere near what I had asked for). My roots were brown, my mids were orange and breaking off, and my ends were grey/green/blonde - no joke, I had multiple friends/coworkers assume I had failed at a home dye job! After trying to convince me that my hair looked great & that it was the lighting making my hair appear green/orange, she did apologize and did not make me pay for the service. She offered to have me come back in 5 days to pay for a full service to fix what had happened, but I declined. I have cut off more than 8 inches and have been to multiple salon appointments elsewhere (spending loads of $$$) in the past 6 months to fix what was done to my hair, but have had no luck. 14+ inches of my hair is permanently damaged from this session at JZ Salon. CONSULTATION: The back of the JZ Styles waiver form includes a consultation guide, but our consult was far from thorough. I had prepared a board with 7 photos to show what I liked/disliked about each subtle balayage style - which she glanced at without asking me any clarifying questions before rushing off to mix color. I inquired half way through the lightening process about the end result and showed my photos again, worried that there was too many foils. She glanced at the photos, mixed up more bleach and reapplied without a word to me. STYLIST VIBE: She was not excited to see me and did not try to get to know me as a first time client who had waited 3 months to get in- I realize that we all have bad days and that she may have been naturally more reserved at the end of a day, but she was chatty and happy to see other clients and stylists as they came in.. PAIN: Due to the excessive backcombing, it took almost an hour of tearing my hair from my scalp to comb me out before my wash. Add that to the very rough wash and blow dry I received and I had tears running down my face from the pain. Her assistant was very apologetic about Jessi's rough manner, but she left the salon around closing time at the 5th hour of the 7 hour service (I had to sleep propped up on the couch away from a pillow & couldn't brush my hair for a few days due to the pain). CUSTOMER SERVICE: Upon arrival, I waited in the lobby for more than 10 minutes before a stylist (who was busy with a client) noticed I was there and called the receptionist out to greet me and a few other unwelcomed guests. Aside from our chat over the end result of my hair, Jessi said less than 10 words to me in the...
