Taco Amigo — Restaurant in Pleasant Grove

🚨 Read for brutal honest review 🚨

Good day. I split my review into 3 educational sections and categories that if read and practiced will help anyone learn and improve there life in terms of the experience within this restaurant. The subsections are as follows

1 food 2 service 3 atmosphere

INTRODUCTION Boy oh boy! Where do I start!!! I came here to taco amigo (in pleasant grove) for the first time in my hole entire life. That’s right. And let me tell you It was great. The only thing that I could say that I was disappointed in was nothing.

[section 1 THE FOOD] The food was good I got a cheeseburger and the worker gabe helped me pick out a burrito (see section two the service more more information) it was delicious and the wait was very long at no point at all. I feel happy with the taste of the food. Not to sound entitled but I have worked in the culinary department for a while and I was not disappointed

[section 2 THE SERVICE] The service was great but especially for one reason specifically. First of all it was packed and the team did a great job getting everyone there food in a friendly matter. I would even go as far to say they did good! I was helped a kind man named Gabe he was friendly and kind and happy and very knowledgeable about the menu. He helped me out a lot. I went into the unknown and took a step into the dark coming here but he made it a good experience. If you are reading this and an owner please give the worker Gabe Taylor a raise. He did not tell me to say this but just do it. I mean seriously stop reading this and go to your computer and type in the numbers to give him a raise. He was not just good to me but everyone. I AM SERIOUS GIVE GABE A RAISE!!!! Ok DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR????? DO I!!!???? I have friends in high places and I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION AGAIN. But yea it was great. Also the worker Olivia was also so awesome. Her smile just made my day. She just seemed so great and truly wonderful! It’s true!!!

[section 3 THE ATMOSPHERE] So here is the thing. The atmosphere? It was nice. Parking was good. Everyone here was happy.

OVERVIEW - 4.0 Simply put by my coworker Taylor: "Delightfully Mediocre Food". Came here on another coworker's last day on our team.

LOCATION - 5 Located on a very busy State Street, with easy access if you are going northbound.

PRICE - 3 Honestly felt like the price of over-the-top simplicity was amazingly over-priced.

PRODUCTS/SERVICES - 2 I ordered the #2 Bean Burrito Combo, and that's what I got, a bean burrito, small fries and a medium drink. The burrito was just refried bean, maybe some cheese, and a tortilla shell... Nothing more to it. I don't quite understand the logic of a small fry and a medium drink, shouldn't they be unified? Both small or both medium? A colleauge ordered the enchilada, and swore up and down it was speghettio sauce... I also couldn't quite understand as we stood in a long line why they hadn't used the second register, then after the line was about to the door they finally opened it up... It was surprisingly clean. I would most likely attribute it to a recent remodel that another review pointed out.

POINTERS/PERKS - 5 Buy the ingrediants and make it yourself at home, maybe even buy a dollar store flower for ambiance...

EMPLOYEES - 5 The employees were friendly and all. I noticed at least one that was near senior citizen if not already over that threshold. Always makes me sad thinking they have to work out of...

3/2023 COME ON TACO AMIGO!! WHAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU?!! We've enjoyed Taco Amigo for years. The food HAS BEEN good & rarely have we had any issues. Until the last 6 months or so, & it just continues to get worse. It's like "Quality Control" is a thing of the past, the kids taking orders don't listen to what you say. We go through the drive-thru, as I've recently had oral surgery & don't feel like going in. In my current condition, the Combination Platter with a cheese enchilada & soft corn taco are easy for me to eat & enjoy, BUT it's NOT made the way I order it. No lettuce on the enchilada, it's a limp mess by the time we get home, they keep giving me a crisp taco when I order a soft one, then charge me for an additional soft corn taco. The way it's "packaged to go" is not travel friendly & the beans end up all over everything in the bag. I've even asked for them to be put in a container, but they never are. I put the food in a thermal bag to keep it warm, but my husband's fries never are. Everything else is fine, but it's like the fries are cold & stale, not fresh. I hope someone sees this & that changes are made. It's obvious I'm not the only one who's taken notice...

10/2022 Went through the drive thru today. It moved along quickly. While eating my fries, I found this black curly hair. I'm a female red head, no black hair here. Completely lost...
