If you are thinking about taking your kids here for an hour or so to play, sure go for it, kids seem to love the bouncing. However, if you are thinking about throwing your kid a birthday party here, DO NOT DO IT. I just came home from my sons birthday party that was a complete disaster, embarrassing, and cost me a lot of money.
This company’s system for birthday parties is completely illogical and could be improved enormously with a little common sense. Here is how they do things and how they can improve.
They book your party for a 2 1/2 hour time period. Then, make you spend the first 1 1/2 hours just bouncing and you cannot even be in the room yet. The last hour you finally have in the room. Are you kidding me? These kids are going to bounce for an hour and a half? This was completely awkward and boring with all the adults sitting around waiting, waiting, assuring the children who were tuckered out a half an hour in to just “keep playing, we can’t have pizza yet, we can’t do presents yet”.
Then, you finally get in the room and the customer serve is not up to par, and the room is not up to par. There was no place for parents to sit so those who did not want to sit outside the room just awkwardly stood around to the side. Then, after finally getting into the room expecting to eat pizza, open presents, and do cake, we ended up waiting for our pizza an extra half an hour. So after these poor kids played for an hour and a half and were starving, they had to wait an additional half hour. We ended up giving them cake first just so they didn’t starve. This was so embarrassing. I ended up just standing around waiting again and apologizing to the parents for the chaos and their starving child who we then gave cake for dinner. After cake we started opening presents, then were interrupted because the pizza finally arrived which shifted all the starving kids attention to PIZZA IS HERE! MUST EAT PIZZA. Then these poor kids scarfed down their pizza and parents took their kids and left. The time spent in the room we paid for was a complete joke. On top of this bad experience our host also forgot to do the Kangaroo mascot and hand out the party favors.
What they need to do is allow you to use the room the entire amount of time. This way you have the choice of doing whats best for your situation. You can eat first, then play, or play for a half hour, then eat, etc. They also need to have a space for adults to sit in each room. Then, they need to train their staff on practicing better customer service and hosting responsibilites.
In summary, although my kids loved the bouncy castles, this place is very poorly run and you can throw a better, cheaper party in...
Read moreI had my sons birthday party here yesterday and I honestly wish I would have gone somewhere else. The only good thing about our party was our host. She was very sweet and tried to be as helpful and accommodating as she could be.
Our party was from 2 - 3:30 in the Bug Box room. We ran about 8 minutes late getting there, but after speaking with our party host and finally getting into the room to decorate, it was already 2:30. The tables were not the same tables from the photos, they were tiny. There was also no large table or chairs for the adults, so we had to bring those in, and another mom and I had to rearrange the whole room.
I decorated as quickly as I could and by the time I got everything situated and the kids ready to eat, it was already 3. My only complaint with the party host was that I felt like she came in every 5 minutes to check on me, which took even more time out of me trying to get everything else done. We also kept being reminded that we had to be out by exactly 3:30.
Our kids had time to eat cake, but not the pizza. We figured the cake first would be easier as we could cut it in the room and our party host said we could take our pizza and presents out to the main lobby area to finish up there, so we did that. Within 5 minutes, the general manager came over and said we couldn’t eat pizza or have presents out there, due to the possibility of “other guests getting upset about us being able to have our party without a room, although she knows we did pay, but other guests don’t know that.” Our party host apologized several times, because she didn’t know the rules changed before she told us we could do that.
I got into a little tiff with the general manager, because the whole party was just so rushed and chaotic. Literally no one there was on the same page with anything. She didn’t offer any sort of apology and she was extremely condescending. So with that, we had to again stop what we were doing and now take several trips out to the car to put everything in the car. The arcade game cards also weren’t working right, as the kids could only play 1 - 3 games before they ran out. The kids also complained because there were hardly any bounce houses. Several were deflated. It was all so embarrassing.
This was the worst experience we have ever had for a birthday party. The reason I chose this location was because it had better reviews than the others, despite it being 40 min - an hour and a half away from where myself or any of my guests live. If you’re planning a birthday party, please just save your money and go elsewhere. This isn’t worth...
Read moreOur family has been coming for the last year and it’s such a relief for our family. We are a special needs family (autism) and I love how enclosed the PG location is. I also love that they do sensory Saturdays ( exceptional Saturdays). It’s every first Saturday of the month where they open early for families who have kids with sensitivity to sensory stimulation. They dim the lights and turn off arcade games . Because of those Saturdays , my kids were able to be gain confidence to come different days where it’s packed and there are families enjoying their stay.
They recently got a brand new inflatable called the fireball and it’s been a hit for my kids.
Our last visit there , my youngest had a huge meltdown and I had a young family friend come with us. I had three kids with me all under 7 and I admit I was a struggling mama. However, the staff at the front (teenagers) were so kind and supportive. I was so shocked at their response because I was not expecting that from their age group. One got down to the eye level of my kids and was trying to soothe them. Another lingered by the door (I have an eloper). The third stayed as backpack behind me I believe. They gave us a free pass to come again. Then to add it all, they gave my kids a free little toy . I think it’s the arcade games prizes. I got home and I cried from such a long day with my kids but also their kindness really showed me that families like mine can belong in the public eye. Adults usually will look at me with a sympathetic smile or embarrassed look or sometimes even a look of disdain. These kids had no judgement whatsoever on their faces. I have no idea if they were trained to so this or just did it from the kindness of their hearts but it was perfect. I wish I had gotten their names but I hope management gets to see this review and reward the young staff for their efforts. Thank...
