My wife and I are big fans of teriyaki and love exploring different teriyaki restaurants whenever we can. That’s why we were excited to try Akai Teriyaki, a newly opened spot in town.

The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, with limited seating, but it’s clean and welcoming. The customer service was decent—nothing over the top, but the staff was friendly enough to make the experience pleasant.

When it came to the food, however, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. 🍱 The teriyaki lacked the bold, flavorful punch we’ve experienced at other local Japanese and teriyaki restaurants. The portion size was fair, and the price point was reasonable, but the taste just wasn’t memorable enough for us. Since we’ve tried other places that offer much better quality and flavor, this one didn’t stand out as a spot we’d return to.

I think Akai Teriyaki has potential as they’re still new, and perhaps the menu will improve over time. But as of now, it’s not somewhere I’d consider one of the best teriyaki spots near me.

✅ Pros: • Fair prices • Decent customer service • Clean and simple atmosphere

❌ Cons: • Food lacked flavor compared to other teriyaki places • Small dining space • Didn’t feel like a “must-visit” spot

Overall, Akai Teriyaki was just okay. If you’re in the area and craving Japanese teriyaki, it may be worth trying once, but for us, there are other restaurants we’d...

I ordered a combo with beef teriyaki, fried rice, stir-fried veggies, and a sushi roll—and it was delicious! The beef was tender and flavorful, the rice had a nice eggy taste, and the veggies were fresh and still had a bit of crunch. The sushi roll was a pleasant surprise—crispy tempura inside with creamy avocado and a drizzle of sweet sauce on top. Portion size is generous and everything was nicely packaged. Great value for the price. Definitely...

Very friendly service with a clean space and solid tasting food to match! We had some of their salmon avocado rolls and a chicken teriyaki special along with their gyoza, Thai tea and Green Tea, all very solid items for an extremely reasonable price!!! Even took some to go to have for dinner! Def gonna make this a regular spot! It is a bit hidden away, but this place is def worth keeping your eyes open for and checking out!...
