Copied from my yelp review. Owner deleted her original response and replaced it with more professional sounding one, but I have a screenshot of her very unprofessional text to my personal number posted on her yelp, which shows her true colors. I have not received a personal apology for the way she handled this situation, only this performative one in her revised response.

My question is why no one said anything to me the first time I brought my toddler if she was such an issue? You were there that day, clearly, and you nor Nelli said a word about your policy. Instead, Nelli praised my daughter for being "so good" during the appointment. Had I been aware, I would've made sure not to bring them again bc I actually do respect policy. However, this whole situation was handled so unprofessionally and poorly on EVERY level. Do better.

This owner proceeded to text me personally to berate me and call me a "bad mother" for "leaving my kids in the car" even though I very clearly told my daughter to turn the air on after giving her the keys LOL. This has to be the biggest joke of a business owner I've ever met. Don't worry girl, I wasn't planning on returning to your "high service salon" - as I mentioned in my original review.
Update to respond to owner: My toddler "almost fell" one time. And that's a stretch, as I was being abundantly cautious of any movement she made. After that first and only time, I moved her closer to me to keep her safe and to avoid any incidents. Even when I left, Nelli made a comment about how good my daughter was. This time, my older kid was there to keep an eye on her, which I thought would be more comfortable for everyone. Regardless, I find it super inappropriate to say something like that in front of someone's kids. How exactly did you expect them to feel after hearing that? They obviously felt super unwelcome and uncomfortable so they left to the car.
I've been getting my nails done here for a couple months by Nelli and haven't really had any complaints. I had my nails done once by the owner too. Not the greatest or worst experience. However I had to bring my kids with me this last time due to last minute schedule issues. I have a teen who was prepared to keep my toddler entertained for an hour during my appointment. But I was immediately approached by the less than warm owner to "remind" me of their no kids policy, which is posted nowhere obvious. Considering I have personally witnessed her own child in the salon, I figured a fellow mother would be more understanding. Since she decided to say this right in front of my kids, the eldest (understandably uncomfortable) offered to just take the other kids to the car to wait for me.
Nothing against Nelli, she's been cool, but didn't really seem to care one way or the other. I understand this policy, not that I don't. However seems a bit hypocritical for the owner to not follow her own "policy." Needless to say, I'll be taking my...
Read moreI love this place! They are clean and professional. Elsy is quite talented and solicitous. She listens to my concerns and regularly asks if I am happy with her work. I have had issues with nail techs in the past who are overly aggressive with the file, both manual and electric, frequently making my cuticles bleed and my nails hurt. Elsy is very conscientious and has never once hurt me in the 5 months she has been doing my nails. I am very particular, and I have been pleased with her work and attention to detail. I have even gone over a month with the acrylic nails she gave me with no problems at all. I would definitely recommend LA Nails and especially Elsy to anyone looking for a great manucurist. (P.S. I did not know Elsy before my first appointment, but after reading many reviews, I took a chance with her, and I am glad I did) P.P.S. The picture is of the nails I had her do for my trip to...
