Woody,
I sent this letter via email and you have not responded, hence i am posting it publicly.
As you will recall, in May of 2024, one of your groomers SHAVED our 3-year-old, show-quality Pomeranian, Sasha. This was in violation of explicit instructions provided on my first visit to your establishment that she should NEVER be clipped, only scissor cut.
BEFORE AND AFTER SHOTS ARE ATTACHED
I appreciate the several free baths and grooms that you did for Sasha. However, it has been over a year and Sashaās coat has not recovered. We visited Dr. Kim Boyanowski, a veterinary dermatologist in February 2025. I provided you with a copy of the bill shortly after the visit and asked you to reimburse us for the $650 bill. As of today, I have not received a reimbursement or a reply to my note which I hand delivered to your establishment.
Dr. Boyanowski warned us that it is likely that her coat will NOT recover its natural glory. She told us to give her medication, to use a medicated bath every week and wait 3 months to see if this might help. Dr. Boyanowski also recommended that we put CLOTHES on her ā which we find abhorrent. It has now been 4 months of medication and there is no improvement.
Her shiny, dense, silky topcoat has NOT regrown. Previously, she only required brushing once a week and grooming appointments once every 5 weeks. The undercoat is rough, coarse, tangles and grows unevenly around her body. Now, she requires about 20 minutes of brushing daily to maintain her remaining coat tangle-free and presentable along with monthly grooming to maintain an even appearance, and weekly baths. My last visit to your establishment -you were not there- your staff was rude and discourteous; therefore, I have returned to our original groomer, despite the fact that she is 40 minutes away.
Perhaps you are not aware of the substantial investment we have in Sasha? A dog of her quality typically runs from $5,000 to $10,000. Additionally, we have infested an additional $5000, and innumerable hours of training: she is certified as a canine good citizen with the AKC, as a service dog, a therapy dog.
Sasha was 3 when this happened at your salon. Our last Pomeranians lived to 17 and 19 years old. So, we can reasonably expect to be living with the consequences of your mistake for the next +/- 15 years. There is NO way for you to correct the error and āmake it all betterā. So, we ask again for you to reimburse us. It is a small sum in comparison to the additional cost in distress, time and money that this error has cost us.
I have tried to be patient, kind, and understanding in the face of this error with both you and your staff. I understand your staff made a mistake; however, I am going to live with the result for years to come. I am asking you to at least cover the cost of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not treat your customer who is paying good money like your doing them a favor to do your job and provide the services you advertise. Your problems should not be mine. If you donāt service Davie then donāt.
Do not mis price quote a customer and then argue with customer I KNOW WHAT I SAID WHEN I CALLED (acting like I was lying bad callš”) take responsibility for your mistake.
I was quoted 65 and told by groomer day of at my home it would be 75....bc my dog is 24lbs
My original call I said I have a shih tzu Bichon you claim I said small shihtzu... I have had my dog for 10 years and would never say that bc he is a big shih tzu due to his mix I also est. his weight at 22-23 per last vet vist. You were my only call to a groomer that day I would not lie about what I said and I donāt understand why any company would think arguing and insinuating that I am a liar is good business.
I told them that 75 was not acceptable I have never paid more for any groomer over past 10 years than 65 with tip. Super Rude attitudeš”
Only when I said just bring my dog inside and forget it did she agree to original price quote but really made me upset with terrible customer service.
The possitive is the groomer did a good and quick (1hr) job only minor complaint that his butt was really dirty which seems weird since he had a bath I had to use wipes on him. His nails were trimmed cut was good.
... so your response is to say I was the one with and attitude amazing..once the groomers tone changed to annoyed sounding when I was not just fine with the price change. Then you calling me to discuss and telling me that what I am saying is not true about what I told you in our initial conversation I then did give you an attitude since you had an attitude and called me a liar ( saying what I am telling you I said is not what I said ) . I said just forget it and you then agreed to the price.
You could have treated me much nicer and given better customer service. You could have responded much better to my neg. review and I would have removed it but you just earned a 1 star for saying I had an attitude and blaming me instead of apologizing and resolving the situation or at least trying to reach out and resolve.
Also, I went outside and in a napkin in my yard right in front of where the groomer parked there was dog poop in a white paper towel... I am not sure 100% it was the groomer since i have no cameras. I would like to give her the benifit of the doubt but it seems suspicious. I have lived in my home for a year and a half and no one has ever left poop on my lawn. I would have gladly disposed of it if she told me... I really hope that she did not because that is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEnrolling at Pets Playground Grooming School was by far the wisest choice Iāve ever made. I canāt rave about my experience enough but Iāll try. Mr. Woody, the owner of the school, provided a walk through and introduction that was very welcoming, responsive, and loaded with information. Enrollment was a painless, flexible, and affordable process. The instructors are top notch educators. My head instructor was Lindsee and man is she sent from the encyclopedia/ AKC or heaven itself! As an educator she was always ready and willing to share her knowledge. Jana and Robyn were also helpful and encouraging through my time spent attending Pets Playground. The school puts an emphasis on hands-on learning. You will not be idle all day reading about how to do things. You will be getting hands-on experience with assistance and guidance. They have plenty of additional teaching assistance as well that make for an engaging learning environment. They truly go above and beyond with every detail; whether itās the simplest of tasks like cutting bandanas and/or making bows, or the fun color dying process in creative grooming. You will learn how to clean and maintain your equipment. You will learn shop safety, sanitation, handling, first aid, anatomy, skin issues, ear care, breed recognition, client relations-and act out scenarios, fleas and ticks, grooming all different coat types, animal behavior, tips and tricks, continued education. When it came time to graduate, I felt confident in the skills I had obtained and was excited to get to work. The supportive staff, encouraging environment, curriculum, and hands on experience will leave you with no fear of obtaining a...
