This charming coffee shop is located in the Park Plaza on Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. The Little Coffee Shoppe was opened by Venezuelan transplants Ronald and Dana Medina who came to the U.S. seven years ago. They opened their first coffee shop in Coral Springs where they were drawn to the family friendly community and the opportunity it provided to serve the community. Their success in Coral Springs has allowed them to expand to Pompano last year.
The coffee section of the menu includes craft coffee, frapps, espressos, and lattes made with beans from 360 F Coffee Roasters in Coral Springs. They also offer tea and power greens. The rest of the menu showcases their Latin heritage with arepas, empanadas, tequenos, cachapas, avocado toast, French toast, quesadillas, salads, and desserts.
I had previously been to the Coral Springs location. The inside of the Pompano location is very welcoming with tables and chairs and a cozy seating area. For my afternoon pick me up I ordered a chai tea and an almond croissant. The drink was exactly what I was craving and I appreciate that they took the time to warm up the croissant for me. It was fresh with the perfect amount of almond filling encased in buttery pastry. I love supporting small local businesses and based on the great service I experienced, I would pick recommend The Little Coffee Shop over that large chain...

Ah, Saturday morning—sun shining, birds chirping, and me hankering for a caffeine jolt that would put a spring in my step. So, we roll into A Little Coffee Shop, a charmingly-named joint promising artisanal brews and good vibes.
The place? Humming with a mostly full house. The vibe? Friendly staff, clean environment, and bathed in beautiful light that screams “Instagram me!” But here’s the thing: the clock didn’t scream; it groaned.
Twenty. Long. Minutes. That’s how long it took to deliver my iced latte. By the time it arrived, my enthusiasm had all but evaporated. Was it life-changing? Nah. It was... fine. You know, the kind of coffee you drink and immediately start imagining the next cup from somewhere else.
Now, I have a go-to metric for these situations: Would I come back? And as I scanned the room and heard the grumbles from my caffeine-deprived comrades, the answer became pretty clear. With Foxtail Coffee just two miles down the road? That's where my wheels will turn next time.
Look, the staff here is friendly, the ambiance is solid, and the cleanliness? Impeccable. But coffee isn’t just about the drink; it’s about the delivery. And when your brew takes longer to show up than my last Amazon order, you’ve got a problem.
Verdict: Decent coffee, painfully slow execution. It’s a “no”...
Read moreI would like to express that this is my first and only review that I will ever do. This morning I came into the little coffee shop, ordered a bagel, breakfast sandwich and avocado toast. A fresh mango juice and a cold brew coffee. Coffee came out relatively fast. Waited 25 minutes for the food. I get told that they don’t have everything bagels so I say a plain bagel is fine. We get our food 25 minutes later And to a surprise, I have everything bagel. That’s good news I like it. Here’s where the bad news starts The young lady at the front counter was very rude and ignorant when taking our order. When I got my food, my breakfast sandwich was supposed to have bacon on it and it did not have anything on it other than egg and cheese, lettuce, and tomato. So then we proceed to go inside and now the gentleman at the counter is very ignorant very rude telling us that the breakfast sandwich does not come with any protein. Obviously, he doesn’t know his menu too well because the screen behind him says him I wanted bacon. The menu clearly states that the breakfast sandwich comes with bacon. When I go back inside to ask for bacon, they tell me it’s $1.25 up charge ( Mind you I spent $40 on those four things). I would also like to express that your guys‘s days are numbered here once bagel co. opens up. Over priced...
