Main Street Pawn Shop — Attraction in Pontiac

It was about a month ago I stopped in the shop with 2 others. It was after the Christmas parade, actually! There is quite a few details to unpack here but I’ll keep it short… unsure of his name, but the man working the floor was so unbelievably rude and unwilling to help. He made it very clear we weren’t welcomed and decided to kick us out of the store (after only about 10 minutes?) by telling us that they were closing early to perform an inventory count on the store. 🥴 it was about 1pm and they didn’t close until 5 pm. We called to verify. He left his scraps from lunch sitting on the front counter on the customer side… made a comment under his breath… scoffed when we asked him to plug in a wall lamp for us… he was more interested in watching whatever movie was playing in the electronics room. Over the weekend, my friend and I decided to check out the local pawn shops. I'd never been to one, so I figured it was time. After stopping at the most boring pawn shop ever, we made out way over to Main Street Pawn Shop. As we walked up to the door, I already knew that this was what I was looking for. There is an eclectic mix of treasures. In fact, there wasn't much they didn't have.

Among other things, they had tools, toys, musical instruments, jewelry, Apple accessories, and even old school match box cars. If you're looking for a cool place to check out, I highly recommend you stop by.

I am from the Ann Arbor area, and my friends mentioned they wanted to check out this pawn shop after the parade. We were in there for MAYBE 15 minutes before the sales person was eyeing us as if we were doing something wrong. When asked to see certain things in the shop, he seemed agitated and unfriendly towards us. I recommend not wasting your time if you want to be kicked out at noon when it’s open until 5pm for simply looking and ASKING QUESTIONS about their inventory. The sales person mentioned they close early on Saturdays to count inventory? My friend called after we were “kicked out” because they were “closing early” and the person on the phone said they were in fact opened until 5! You just lost sales today because we were actually interested in several things...
