Allure Hair Designs — Attraction in Port Angeles

This is a cosmetology school, so I had moderate expectations going into appointment and only scheduled a trim and conditioner treatment. The student who cut and conditioned my hair did a pretty good job, and I was overall satisfied with her. However, while I was there, I was sitting next to the school instructors styling chair and saw her give 2 haircuts, which were both really obviously poorly done. She cut a middle-aged woman's straight hair in a blunt chop across the back, and when the lady stood up, you could see there were uneven chunks of hair, so it looked really terrible. Like someone had tried to do a blunt cut but during an earthquake. Then she cut a little kids hair and gave her the exact same awful haircut. Also, when she came over to fix/adjust the hairdryer I was under during my conditioner treatment, she pulled it down hard into my forehead. Had my first visit today. The salon is beautifully appointed. Cozy, but not too small, impeccably clean and modern. Lily was my stylist. She was very friendly yet professional. I have fine hair, but a lot of it, so it never has much body or holds style. She suggested a new cutting technique one of the other stylists recently shared with her, and the results are incredible! I seriously have NEVER been so happy with my hair. It has body, frames my face perfectly and my cowlicks (one right in front and one in the back) have vanished!! Best color job I’ve gotten in this town in MANY years. (It was a mess from the last color job and it’s absolutely beautiful now!) Lily is AMAZING at what she does! Very clean, fair pricing, and very accommodating! Will definitely be returning when I’m ready...
