Fast Burritos Port Angeles, WA
Heading out to Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent or maybe the Forever Twilight (Ugh!) Festival in Forks? Well if any of the above are on your bucket list, you are going to end up passing through the thriving metropolis of Port Angeles where we came across Fast Burritos. Originally we were heading for the familiar Micky D’s, but the bright and colourful signage of Fast Burritos caught our eye and a U turn was imminent (note to driver, due to the weird one-way street layout of Port Angeles, a U-turn constitutes a bunch of left turns around some rather uninspiring city blocks, not to mention street names like Ethel, Irma and Gladys!) Anyhow, if the signage and building are somewhat bright and alive, once inside you feel akin to being within an unexploded Pinata. The place is definitely festive and fun, from the menu displays to the booth seating its a Mexican fiesta that the owners have definitely enjoyed creating. In keeping with the theme, the menu options are varied and as appealing to the eye as to the appetite. Fast Burritos offers a Breakfast menu with various burrito ingredient combinations, a Lunch Special menu, and a traditional Combination menu which features a full variety of Mexican dishes with traditional beans and rice, etc. In addition most items can be ordered a la carte. We had the Chili Verde Burrito which featured tender and perfectly seasoned shredded pork steeped in a green chili sauce along with a generous amount of mexican rice and refried beans wrapped in a fresh flour tortilla. In all, this burrito was huge and somewhat overflowing with ingredients, which made it a truly delicious hot mess. In addition we ordered a couple of crispy Chicken Tacos from the a la carte menu, which for $1.99 each were some of the best Tacos ever! The crispy shells were freshly made on the spot and then filled with a shredded chicken that was exceptionally seasoned and tucked in with a layer of crisp shredded lettuce, tomato and cheese. These Tacos were so good that when heading out to the car upon leaving, we turned around and went back in to order more Tacos for the road! The food is authentic and made to order fresh, the employees are friendly and fast with prices that are affordable offering value for money. Covid protocols are observed where indoor dining was extremely clean and provided...
Read moreIf you are looking for a cheap burrito, you found it. We decided to dine inside. Big mistake on 2/26/17. poor service (smiling is free). DIRTY tables. it took me a while to find one that appeared to have been wiped down. Food was slow and inaccurate (no guac=extra all over plate). I feel this is largely due to the volume of drive through business. I'm going to reiterate this each time i experience it: Delivery, carry-out, and drive thru should NEVER get priority over diners. (and honestly i think diners deserve a discount for other guests letting toddlers and children run amok it's not Chuck E Cheese) Super-hot deep fried taquitos served on a styrofoam meat tray?
this place came highly recommended by a patron of mine. my patron either had no idea what they were talking about OR there was a staffing nightmare.
The decor is good considering it was once a KFC. Well lit, festive colors. My burrito was decent. The verde and hot salsas were good. I may try it again, but unlikely as there are other dining options in the immediate vicinity. IF I do, I'll get drive through with no special instructions.
I sorta wish I had taken some pictures to show what i meant about cleanliness, but i think i should reserve photos for establishments that actually deserve good ones.

Read moreOutstanding tacos at my first visit. Using their drive-thru, I had one taco carnitas that came with two soft mid-sized corn tortillas and a generous amount of meat, avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, etc--enough for 2 meals. The meat was tender and hearty chunks and had a mild flavor, including 2 small containers of extra sauces on the side. The side order of spanish rice was fluffy and delicately flavored. The chicken taco had a crispy, fresh corn taco and lettuce, tomatoes, cheese with fresh shredded chicken white meat that was delicious. All this in under 5 minutes for only $10.25. This is my first time and it seemed like the food was more natural and homemade, similar to that in southern California at a taqueria. I will be back. It was only about 10:30 am and no waiting in line. This is an edit to my first review: The service is still good and portions are generous, but the last few visits I had cold tacos and the double layer of tortillas stuck together so I could not separate them to make two tacos. The potholes in the parking lot have gotten worse since my first visit. I won't...
