I bought a couch from these people and they said it will be a 1 month wait time. A month goes by and I call again and they change what they said to 1-3 months until arrival. I wait longer, the couch comes in and they say if I don't pick it up in 2 weeks they're going to sell the couch from underneath me, which is not something that I was told when I payed for the couch. Keep in mind that I've already payed for the couch in full before it even arrived at the store and they're threatening to sell it. Luckily I was able to make it into the store and schedule a delivery service. First they send me to a person to schedule a specific day to have my delivery made, then ON THE DAY OF THE DELIVERY I get a call in the morning to schedule a time to have it delivered. So basically unless I have a full day off with no plans I'm not getting the couch. They also didn't give me a time of arrival, they just said they'll show up between 3pm and 6pm. So I have to assume I am unavailable for all 3 hours for a delivery that should take 10 minutes. Well I just happen to have a baby shower for a friend that was scheduled for the same time that the delivery guy called to say he could deliver the couch. When I asked to get a different time they said they're too busy to do it this weekend if I don't do it between 3 and 6. So if I want it delivered I would have to start the process over again and pick a new day and hopefully be free with the times they offer me the day of delivery. I'm being deployed for over 2 months so I can't put off getting the couch any longer or else they'll sell it from under me. So overall I'm not thrilled with the service or the planning. Read moreI go almost every Saturday to big lots, and to say my last 2 or 3 visits were disappointing is an understatement. I was stuck in line for 10 minutes waiting for the gentleman to check out the same lady as the line was piling up behind me. He had a full on conversation with her while the other cashier had checked out 3 people before me in those 10 minutes. When it came my turn, the card machine was declining my card when I had checked my account before I left and still had plenty on it. He decided to answer the phone while serving me that he was gonna answer the phone and get all cozy behind the counter and have a full on conversation in the phone chit chatting and laughing for 5 minutes while I am struggling to swipe my card through the machine, and the line was even longer by this time. Finally, the guy behind me yelled at him, and told him to get off the phone and serve me so we can get this line going. To say I was livid when I left is an understatement. I told him to do better or get another job and stop being lazy...

They have furniture, household items, electronics, outdoor equipment, seasonal items such as Christmas, Halloween decorations, as well as food. It's kind of of do-it-all store without a lot of compromises, hence why it should be called Does A lot. I recently purchased a kitchen table from them, and last year a recliner for the living room (which is beautiful with the rest of my furniture.) I also purchased a 6-7 foot animated witch for Halloween, and that thing sold itself in the store. While no store is perfect, Big Lots sure does come close to just that. I will continue to support this local store, and I hope more people check out what they have. They definitely do not skimp on quality...
