Hurricane Grill & Wings-Promenade — Restaurant in Port Saint Lucie

We cannot believe this place is in business. My husband and I go to the one on the jetty often and love it. Since we were on this side of town, we thought it was a no brainer. We were disgusted by the service and the food and will never ever go back. It was a Wednesday night and not that busy, yet it took the server forever to get to us. We asked her for drink specials and what beer she had, she pulled out a list and handed it to my hubby to read to himself. She could not answer 1 single question we asked her. She didn't bring us straws with our drinks and it took so long to see her again in between visits to the table. My daughter kept asking for crayons or paper and the server said she'd find them and never did. We ordered nachos, mozz sticks, and parm garlic fries to start. We were so turned off we left after that. The nachos had stuff only across the very top, there was nothing underneath. There was not even any cheese on them! How can you call them nachos without CHEESE?? NOTHING like the nachos we love at the Fort pierce hurricanes. The server wouldn't accept my coupon for the garlic parm fries and they were awful. Just greasy potatoes, not enough garlic or parm. Seeing the check was over 50$ for 3 gross apps and 2 drinks left us with an equally bad taste in our mouths. Horrible, should not be called Hurricanes.

4 years later we decided to give this place a chance again. Once again, they were terrible. (Except Jessica, she was very nice and apologetic about the cook). We ordered X floater wings, ($71 worth mind you) they weren’t cooked enough so I asked if they could be cooked a little longer. The cook made a BIG deal about it, mind you I’m in the dining room and could hear it. Neat. When I got our wings, they were burnt. See the photo. We got a refund but this place just sucks. The owner needs to get it together.

Unbelievable. I tried ordering online for pick up and the site said they were too busy for online ordering. Offered me tomorrow at noon. So I decided to call and place a pick up. 21 minutes on hold!! We tired too call on another phone to see if they would answer and it just rang. Found out they only have one line. We decided to drive over the their location to speak to the manager about it. She was very apologetic and said she would hug me... 1. I don’t know you and seriously a hug?! Can I eat a hug? NOPE! 2. CORONA?! The woman who answered the phone told the other lady there was an order twice, but she couldn’t take her because she was leaving. We walk in and she’s standing at the bar socializing, bag in hand. You can’t be a team player and take the order for your team?! They should be mortified at this behavior.

Was sick in bed and my mom was at Hurricane Grill so I had her order my children, husband and I the 20 piece sampler with the sauce on the side. We eat at Hurricane grill at least once a week for the last 4 years. Jeff was always the owner we dealt with and have never had a problem. When the food came the sauces were all over the wings mixed up in one box. I handed my 2 year old one of the teriyaki, not realizing it had been mixed with my husbands Category 4 super hot wings. I wasn't planning on complaining until I realized how upset my son was that he couldn't eat any. I called them up and nicely explained what had happened. Kimberley was the "owner" who answered my call and said I would have to bring back every wing to prove they messed up and that she would only replace what was left. I asked to speak to the manager because of how rude she was on the phone and she proudly said she was the owner. When I got there to pick up my order I tried to explain what was messed up and she kept talking over me. I explained, all she would have to do was fix the order and I would be gone and that is was a real inconvenience to have to load up my whole sick family to get the wings replaced. She said "well maybe you should go tend to your kids" and then threatened to call the police! I have never in my life had an experience like this and I WILL NEVER GO BACK THIS HURRICANE...
