So I've lived in deer park apartments in sparks NV for over 3 yrs. Recently this new property management company took over. And now I'm being forced to leave my home. My rent is paid and on time every month. I'm quite, I stay to myself. I'm not happy with any part of being here. Office staff can't even read a basic lease, cause according to them..I didn't sign one back n august when I had to redo my lease. It says clearly from 10-1-23 to 9-31-24, rent shall be 1200.00 monthly! Then how come I'm being forced to pay 1320.00 a month! And new tenants r paying 995.00 a month for 1 bedroom...and I'm n a studio..... Office said u didn't sign a lease, so ur month to month at 1320.00!!!!! I showed them the contract.... And there answer was a 5 day...get out!do urself and ur sanity a favor...don't rent from these slumlords! Oh ya, and they left me sitting outside all night with only a hoody, pair a jeans, and socks when it was 23° outside, why? Because I got locked out of my place because THEY NEVER GAVE ME A KEY TO THE BOTTOM LOCK. I locked my phone in the house as well.. I used neighbors to call 24 emergency hotline. From 10pm-7:18am! I was outside freezing! Having my phone inside meant I could get messages from maintenance, so I asked them to email me so I can b updated! What did these people do..yup sent me A text saying " sorry we don't offer a lockout service" u will need to call a locksmith! Well... According to my lease I signed, u sure do with a fee of 40.00! So ... I think some office staff, and maintenance people need to go back to school and learn how to read or understand contracts. Ur making ur company look...
Read moreMy experience under Onxy Property Management
I lived here for 3 years and 4 months. During the first 1.5 years under 4Elements, everything ran smoothly. But when Onxy took over, things went downhill:
They rarely answered calls—voicemail was the only way to reach them.
The AC broke every summer with slow repairs. Every summer the AC tech would have to come out to add Freon to the units on the roof.
On April 13, 2024, the only elevator stopped working—and remains broken as far as I know despite repeated promises.
I’m ADA‑protected due to epilepsy and recent knee surgery. I submitted multiple accommodation requests, all of which were denied.
I tried to find a reasonable solution—every suggestion was turned down.
We had two after‑hours emergencies that went completely unaddressed.
At age 52, and with no prior legal issues, I eventually had to sue under the Fair Housing Act (Case # 6:24‑cv‑01701).
Only after the lawsuit did Onxy enter mediation—and I received a settlement that was satisfactory to me. I had to move out of a 1599 sq ft unit on the forth floor with no elevator. The move was over 10k. Onxy had obtained quotes on their own for 1100, 1400. I called these companies and Onxy had told them it was a 500 sq foot studio.
They also required staff to attend FHA training.
Other ADA tenants shared similar stories of denied requests.
Bottom line: Management was unresponsive, my legal rights were ignored, and it took a lawsuit to get basic accommodation. If you’re considering renting from Onxy, check online reviews—especially for their Oregon and...
Read morewhat a joke. I tried to get ahold of them and was told for a few days that there was no pending and no current applications on 10 plex on 117th for $1700. i tried to get ahold of them confirming this ALL DAY WITH NO ANSWER, at 4:50 i get an email saying there is none. literally 5 mins later i put in my application, take a breathe and trust my kids and i will have somewhere to live because i am first in line and meet every single requirement. i get a email the next day, on my day off, saying they ae processing someone else's application above mine and that i would be 3rd in line, after i was just told yesterday i would be first in line, are you serious???? this made me so mad, this is the SECOND time for this exact complex that they did this to me. I would go see it, do an application, told if i do in application i would be first in line, i spend the hefty $60 app fee, and they process the people after me. WHAT A ABSOULTE JOKE. hopefully the owner see's this and goes somewhere else or someone else to manage the complex because I've wanted to rent these townhomes for 3 years now. 3 WHOLE YEARS OF WAITING AND...
