This place is not fancy, not hipster, not gentrified - that’s why I love it. They sell all manner of concrete garden and lawn ornaments from small to very large. Bird baths, fountains, gnomes, Buddhas, planters, benches, pagodas, St Francis statues - you name it. They make most of the stuff onsite (I saw the molds!) and their rent and overhead must be low, thus - great prices. Compared to similar stuff I’ve seen at e.g. Portland Nursery these prices are at least half or less. We got a nice smallish bird bath with a pedestal for $35 - no haggling! I defy you to do better elsewhere.
It’s a bit ramshackle and chaotic but it’s easy to walk around and browse the offerings. We chatted with the owner Stefan and he was nice as can be - even offered to give me the bird bath for free if I guessed his national origin (I didn’t :-( ). Threw in some sealer for the concrete and another small ornament we liked for free.
Places like this are disappearing fast. This is a Portland gem with amazing bargains. We’ll be...
Read moreThis is a great local small business. Do not let the exterior of the building or grounds scare you off. This place is like a treasure hunt for your garden. If you want the Nordstrom experience and pay 4-5 times the price then go to Portland Nursery next door.
The owner is Eastern European and fun to haggle with. The prices were half what people were charging online for cheap resin replicas. These are the real deal concrete reproductions. Great eclectic selection. I bought 8 pieces including two awesome lions for the entry of my home and I have a few more I will pick up in the next couple of weeks. The owner helped me load the pieces into my vehicle.
There is a sign that if the owner is not present you can wait and receive a discount. He also had a couple of guys present that were working and helped me with pricing as well. Looking forward...
Read moreAt first I didn’t know if I would be happy with the outcome. Initially I had called what I thought were two different businesses after asking google for help. Both numbers went to the same phone apparently which this business owner and I had a good chuckle about. There is a great selection of concrete statues to look through and they seem fairly organized by style. I found what I was looking for after just a few short minutes and was on my way. This place doesn’t have prices on many items which is kind of fun because that means you get to haggle with the guy. I feel like I got a good deal on what I came for. Thanks A-1. When I need something else made from concrete, I know...
