The walking / biking trail is a smooth paved trail, the portion towards boring and along the river are well kept and a nice ride. The middle portion has a large amount of homeless camps that feel dangerous / messy.

We are lucky to have such a beautiful wildlife preserve in the city. You can usually see these deer just north of Oaks Park on the east side of the railroad tracks.

Gorgeous trail for walking, running, cycling, or skating. (No cars!) Sunset is extra beautiful here.

Wonderful trail in Portland that sets a perfect example of combining nature and urban life in a practical way. It is well loved by walkers, runners, cyclists alike, and I have been running there almost every week. During weekdays, you see people commuting through this corridor to get between SE Portland and the central area; during the weekend, tons of people walk, run or ride to take advantage of its beautiful view and quietness. A detour from the trail takes you to dirt trails in Oaks Bottom Nature Refuge which is a great place (and even quieter) to visit. Beyond the 3 miles between Tilikum and Sellwood that are most frequented, the trail extends another 15 miles further east all the way to Boring, OR, perfect place to...

I used to ride my bike on this trail when I lived in Milwaukie. It feels safe from the OMSI area out until about SE Johnson Creek and Bell Street, after which I won't venture anymore. It used to feel like I was just riding near my unhoused neighbors (heck, I used to stop and chat with them, pet their cats and such), but these days, the middle is just a long stretch of homeless camps full of anger and aggression. I'd say the camp extends roughly 2 miles in either direction from I-205. It's a policy failure on the city's part to not be doing more for these folks. Whenever I get back to Portland, I still very much enjoy the west side of the trail out...

Nice biking trail But be careful Lots of homeless people Heard 2 gun shot right where homeless are leaving under the bridge.. One guy came out of nowhere towards me and my family with a big rock on he's hand, then he walked down to the river.. Saw a naked man laying down on the trail Than another person wearing all black wearing a mask and a hatchet 🪓 on he's hand walking by the trail... All that happened...
