I’ve been coming here since I moved here in 2024. Not as great since new management took over. Orders take longer. I waited 40 minutes for an iced pumpkin roll latte. The baristas seem to not be able to handle the high volume or orders in a timely manner, which is frustrating because I love this small business but it makes me want to go over to Cure. Edit: the owners said someone took my coffee thinking it was theirs but this is impossible since I brought my own coffee mug. I was also watching the barista make my drink the whole time — nobody touched it besides her. I do not appreciate the lie. I have been back since, but the service is subpar. It’s not the same compared to when Allen worked there! He knew my order, could make it under 10 minutes and actually talked to the customers unlike the new baristas who just gossip to each other. I did not order off the seasonal menu - I literally ordered an iced latte and only an iced latte. The espresso machine was not the problem, I kept an eye on the staff while they were making my drink - the espresso was done and sat there for 30 minutes while the barista chatted to the other staff. I’ve also seen their replies to other reviews and the new staff seem unprofessional when replying to other reviews. I doubt I’ll be returning in the future and will probably go to...

You read that right! With places all over converting to a single origin, light roasted espresso, and pour-overs that taste like strawberry jam this place shines a light of uniqueness! "Everyone is so different they are all the same"
I ordered a small latte (priced very aggressively at $3 even) and a breakfast bagel and couldn't have been happier.
The espresso was prepared skilfully and tasted like some of the stuff I remember from the early 2000s: Bold, robust, chocolate, maybe a bit of leather, and sweet whole milk. I've been drinking so much light stuff (which admittedly I really enjoy) I forgot where espresso in the US started.
The bagel sandwich was awesome, and the sauce they used was legendary. I couldn't have asked for a better sandwich.
I will say, for a day of working at a cafe, the seating did leave a bit to be desired. There were a few spots to perch but I'm really tall, so the table/booth combo didn't have the best ergonomics. I will also say... This won't stop me from coming here again to do a day out of the office.
Between flavor, drink quality, vibe, pricing, and a Barista that ACTUALLY TALKS TO CUSTOMERS! Skip the 'Bucks and become a regular at this amazing espresso-themed watering hole.

Read moreI have visited and eaten at The Coffee Shoppe for many years. I actually used to work there in high school. I don't know what's going on with the service at the moment, but every time I call the phone just rings and rings until the call fails. I have had a few of the staff answer, but then the call disconnects.
Today specifically, I ordered lunch on DoorDash and the app wouldn't allow for modifications. I called right after I made the order to ask them to please not put tomatoes on my wrap, but the call was not answered. I began calling at 10:58am, right after I placed my order, and wasn't able to get a hold of someone until 11:11am, at which point the employee told me the wrap was already made. I advised her that I had been trying to call for a while to avoid this, but was just told "yeah, we're extremely busy".
I totally understanding being busy and maybe missing a call or two, however I called a total of 11 times to try to help avoid my wrap having to be re-made (especially if they're this busy) and I also reached out to DoorDash and had them try to reach the merchant. They were not successful. Please take into consideration having more staff available...
