Always a fun experience have been here to see phantom of the opera as a student and then took my class to see a magic show as a teacher. Always a great experience!
Updated 2024 Went here to see Anastasia. Great performance. I wish the seats were wider apart I was literally squeezed between both seats but I can live with that. Why I'm giving it 1 star is because the logistics needs to be done better. The concession stand had a huge line which was cut off and I wasn't able to get anything. The guy preventing me was rude and told me I couldn't make it back in time if I got in line. Last time I checked that was my problem not his. They don't prevent you from getting popcorn when you see a movie. If you pay for a ticket you should be able to enjoy the show. This building has multiple concession stands. You'd think you would open them all up. His excuse was you'll disturb the show if you walk in late but at the beginning of the show the producer encouraged us to interact with the senses of the show and there is a large group to my right that keeps yelling and cheering for a specific actor. Does it disturb my enjoyment yes, but me sneaking in with some popcorn is less noticable. Hire more concession staff or allow me to bring something because this is ridiculous. If you know something is popular plan...
Read moreI have always enjoyed seeing plays and when a play is really great I have always been so astonished by the performers and their talents as artists. My wife and I have been taking our your daughters (12 and 15) to as many plays and concerts as we can so as to get them "into" the arts atleast as much as my my wife and I are. My wife has been asking me to take her to see "Phantom" for the past 20 years and has tried to explain how the music and the stage makes you feel and until last night I never really understood what the big deal was. We took our girls to "Phantom Of The Opera" performed by Yavapai College of Performing Arts who I believe to be the best actors I have ever seen and to think they are our local students of all ages from our wonderful little Prescott. I WAS AMAZED BY THE TALENT!!! And what a director! Dr. Craig Ralston is amazing! We homeschool our daughters and after last night I really want them to go to Yavapai College to study performing arts and I pray they get the chance to work with Dr. Ralston. GREAT JOB TO ALL OF THE CAST, THE CREW AND...
Read moreNice venue and staff were friendly. However, I do believe that ADA seats should be available for those using medical devices if they request to use them. I was told I could not use ADA seating when purchasing tickets, as my German Shepherd service dog was not a reason for the space. I managed to have her at my feet in a regular row, but it caused undue stress to those who had to pass by and step over her. Many of the people who had to step over her had mobility issues of their own, making it difficult for them to pass and endangered my service dog as people tripped and stepped on her. Halfway through the show, a worker kindly moved us to an empty ADA seat. However, we should have had access to it from the beginning. After hearing from other service dog handlers who have attended this venue, this is not the first time this has occurred. Please ensure you are providing adequate access for all, not just those that management deems are the "right kind"...
