Russian Roulette chicken drumettes (you may or may not break a tooth or cut your mouth on bone shards)
(See photos) New Joyce Farms chicken drumettes are not actual drumettes. They chop the bone ends leaving them sharp/jagged and shards of bone break off. Real drumettes have cartridge on the ends. One splinter went through my gum between my front two teeth and my husband almost had one go into his tongue. My husband and I had been loyal customers making multiple purchases, even gift certificates. We are not fly by night customers. My husband is in management in the medical community and I have a collectible shop here in Prescott, we are long time residents of Prescott. After letting the Prescott Meat Co. know of this issue I was told to come in and I would receive a credit for the 4 remaining packages of these dangerous packages of meat. When I arrived to exchange them I was met by the same young man I spoke with moments ago. I had the meat on the counter with the receipt. He looked at me and said there was nothing he could do and he wasnโt going to credit me. I was shocked. I told him he had just told me to come in to exchange and get credit. He literally lied and stated he never said that. I was understandably upset and argued with him. I said, so youโre going to throw away customers who have made dozens and dozens of purchases over a $34 credit that is owed to them? He said, I guess we are. I left with the meat and receipt and when I arrived home I received a phone call from the owner, Mike. Instead of apologizing, he was condescending, rude, and arrogant berating me for calling his employee a liarโฆwhich he was. Mike actually told me he didnโt believe me and then suddenly offered me credit for only 2 of the packages with a bully attitude attached. The treatment from this poor excuse for a business was abhorrent. They can keep the credit crumb they offered. They didnโt even have an interest in seeing the photos. I look forward to seeing their going out of...

We are lucky to have a good variety of meats available at several markets already so what makes Prescott Meat Company special I wondered. It's not an old fashion style market with butchers chopping and wrapping meat for sale over the counter. It's a more modern style market with a good variety of meats available already cut and shrink wrapped. It's also not a discount meat market. Their products are high end and priced as such. The people there are friendly and informative and know the products they sell. Every word the meat man told me about the products I tried was true. By far the 3 prime sirloin stakes I've had have been the best tasting beef I have ever had. I took a shrink wrapped half chicken home and marinated it and then cooked it on a pellet smoker. Again, it was the best damn chicken I've had. The flavor of the chicken stood out even after my method of prep. I have also tried the hamburger and some of their sausages and while I can't say they were the best I have had I would say the hamburger was right up there and an affordable way to give their meat a try. But I recommend the steaks. They are affordable when you consider how satisfying they are compared any of the chain store meat. I was very pleasantly surprised at...
ย ย ย Read moreI'd like to thank Mike for helping me with my new dry aging beef hobby. I picked up an amazing ribeye and an absolutely beautiful 12lb 4 bone ribeye roast to dry age. Not only did he explain in detail about the Piedmontese breed of cattle that they carry but he also helped me vaccum pack the roast in a dry age bag since they can be difficult doing it at home in a conventional vaccum sealer. Could you get cheaper cuts? Of course. Frys,Costco, Safeway; Many options. But they do not come close to the quality and the attention that you get at Prescott Meat Company. Not only will you get probably the best meat you've ever eaten but you get to help support local business. How often do you eat steak? Splurge when it's time to get steak. It's cheaper then if you'd go to a restaurant to get a sub-par steak. For a nice steak dinner your looking at over $100 a couple. Come here and get a beautiful 2lb to 3lb ribeye (sometimes they have 20% off) for less than that. Make some delicious sides and feed your entire family a meal they won't forget. Aren't you and your family...
