This company is becoming a joke. They had great service up until a few months ago. They notified us that they would be working on the antennas and that our service would be down for a few hours and whatever they changed has ruined their Internet service. Every few minutes I get a lag spike that completely freezes my game, show or whatever I'm doing for a few seconds. I've asked multiple employees what was done to the antennas and I get a different answer every time so they either don't know or they don't want to tell the truth. I was working with Sam everyday for a couple weeks trying to get my service working properly again when he just quit calling me back and working on it. After a few more weeks I called them back angry this time and Sam told me my best option is probably to find a different company cause he doesn't think they'll be able to fix it and he doesn't want to lead me on. Then he says next time I should call sooner instead of waiting til it becomes a problem like I hadn't been talking to him about it for weeks before he just ghosted me. This happened right after I referred my brother to the company and he had to deal with similar service from the appointment setter and the installer that showed up. The service has been a joke from every division of this company lately and I will be cancelling my service as soon as I find a...
Read moreI’ve had Bolt for about a year now. I live in Dewey and the choices were limited in the area that I’m located. Initial install was pretty straightforward and painless. All went well for the first part of the time. Then I had my roof replaced and the installers messed up the antenna mount (unknown to me). Eventually the wind blew it over and the antenna unit got filled with water and died. No internet! 😩 Called them on a Monday, explained the problem and that I needed a service call ASAP as I was interviewing for a new job and needed the Internet. While they initially said they were booked solid for a week, they rep said they would see what they could do for me. After a few back and forth calls, they were able to get a tech out that afternoon. Not only did he replace the antenna, he also upgraded it to a newer/better model and even replaced a questionable Ethernet connection inside the house. He tested the system, ensured it was meeting the speed I was paying for (10/2) and made sure I was happy.
While it certainly isn’t the cheapest provider and they can’t please everyone, I’m very happy with my experience so far. Two thumbs up for their service...
Read moreRun fast from Bolt Internet!! Whatever your running speed, it will top Bolt's so-called speed. Their upload speeds at random times through a day range from a dismal low 0.44 mbps to a WHOPPING high of 1 mbps! And Bolt has the audacity to call itself a "service" AND to charge for that crap?!?!
Bolt speed: 1 mbps. Average Arizona ISP speed: 34.43. You do the math.
Also: TERRIBLY inconsistent service. Outages. And need tech support?! Good luck. They feed ya BS and try to convince you that everything's hunky-dory.
AND tech "help" is available only during biz hours M-F! So if your service goes out at night or a weekend, have fun staring at a blank no-Net screen.
Then flee from this abysmal Internet "Service" Provider. In Prescott area, you'll get WAAAAY better service with Cable One.
One star is too generous for Bolt Internet. I've dealt with a lot of ISPs in my time and they are so crappy, they should be ashamed to call themselves a "service provider."
Cable One's your best bet. Reliable, strong, good download times and oh yeah, TECH SUPPORT...
