A reviewer wrote, 'whose preaching has theological and intellectual depth and is both prophetic and mystical.' Really? On the church homepage: 'Community Church of Providence is a place where you are free to bring your authentic self.' Really? Also, 'Diverse in ethnicity, backgrounds, family structure, worship styles and theology....' There cannot be diverse theology. Otherwise, it is a false theology. Truth is exclusive, not inclusive. Preaching that is 'mystical' is not of Jesus but of the devil. A church should open its doors to welcome all to be cleansed by the blood of Christ and to give up one's self, not celebrate it. Pastor Sara is absolutely amazing! This church is so warm, welcoming. My family has been going through some really hard times lately, and the Community Church of Providence has supported us every step of the way. There’s been no judgment, no shame—just genuine love and compassion. They welcomed us with open arms and continue to check in on us daily, making sure we have what we need, even if it’s just someone to listen or a shoulder to cry on.
