Hmmm - Just okay. My oldest sister wanted to celebrate her birthday at Red Stripe. I made the reservation a month in advance through Open table, no issues. Half of our party arrived before the Birthday Girl and myself. When we mentioned the reservation, the hostess was no help - just pointed out the the large seating area. Neither of us could find anyone, we were eventually able to find them. They were tucked away in a back room. The menu is interesting and seems to be a bit all over the place. We ordered a few appetizers- the crab cakes were good, nothing to knock my socks off and the brussel sprouts were served cold, not Luke-warm.. cold. The main meals were again just okay. One member of our party order the fish and chips - it was way to thin and ridiculously dry. My cod with crabmeat stuffing was interring, they didn't sever the cod as a single piece. They instead broke it apart, effectively drying out the fish during the baking process. The drinks we ordered were good and our waiter (Ken) was awesome. We opted to not order deserts and went elsewhere. We would all consider giving this place another try, mainly on a night with a good special.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend so I had to check it out. I just landed, I was hungry and I still had to drive to the Cape but I definitely needed fuel for my body so Red Stripe it was. I liked that it was a casual dining spot because I was in “travel clothes” but the food was way above casual. They had a great selection of meal options. I had their New England Clam Chowder which wasn’t the typical white cream base BUT OMG delicious. I highly recommend it. For my main dish I had the seared sea scallops with risotto. Scallops were perfectly cooked and so was the risotto. I enjoyed my meal immensely and I look forward to visiting this Red Stripe on my next trip up North! I must point out as well great service from the hostess to my server! My only downside was parking, there wasn’t a designated parking lot but I heard this is an issue in Providence not just this restaurant.

2nd experience 3 stars To management, Sam O. Needs to be retrained or let go. Zero eye contact. Zero smiles. Volume almost whispering. He looked like he wanted to leave and not be here. Had to ask for water 3x and was Absent when needed. Absolutely unacceptable service. 2x back in one week because of the amazing food. Definitely will need to have a second thought when selecting the establishment again. I would definitely be open to speaking to the management. Did not want to make a scene with my date. Check #66 8/5/2018 First experience: 5 stars Beyond yummm and worth every dolla! I am more of a hole in the wall kinda guy and family own super small business but there is sooo good! Your portions are very big for a fancy stuffy Restuarant. Would definitely be back for more! Got their lunch kitchen sink and Ruben. WAYYYYYYYYY AWESOME!

Nice space with a partially open view of the kitchen, good wine list, and solid cocktails. I had a smoked maple old fashioned that was perfect. The food my family got looked fantastic (and the frites I stole from my sister were especially so) but I have a little bit of a bone to pick about the ratatouille ravioli (pictured)... A more appropriate name for it would be garden vegetable pesto ravioli, which is fine, but nowhere on the menu does it mention that this is a pesto sauce. And boy, is it pesto forward- the pesto and shallots completely overpowered the flavors of the other vegetables, which was really disappointing. You can also see that there is quite a hearty amount of olive oil as well. Not necessarily bad, but definitely not what I was expecting at all and not what I would have ordered if I had known.

A friend & I were in on Saturday 3/31, our waitress was C/Katherine. She was polite & the right amount of attentiveness - not by every 5 minutes around but was around if needed. We both got the Bleu Burger, but both of us had dietary restrictions - my friend's salad came dressed, which she didn't know. Our waitress without an issue got her a new undressed salad. The Bleu Burger has bacon, which I wanted. I told her I wanted bacon but allergic to bleu cheese. She ordered me the burger with no cheese rather than making me order the Naked Burger & adding bacon. All of our food was really good. Our waitress was very good, no issues. Others there were friendly too even though they weren't serving us. Overall good atmosphere, my friend was recommended by another friend to go there. I'm sure she will be back. :-)
