My wife and I came here for the first time. We were tired of all the same old options for dinner and decided to try something new. We both are so glad we did. The food is amazing. While it is slightly pricy it is definitely worth every penny. We had done our research before going so we were expecting a higher than normal bill. We decided to try the Risotto Croquettes. It's the perfect sized appetizer to split with your partner. There are two, large, roasted red pepper risotto croquettes, served in a delicious marinara. It was an amazingly new concept for me, to take risotto and bread it and deep fry it. Delicious. For dinner my wife had the Cider-Brined Pork Tenderloin which is served with a sweet potato hash, asparagus and a homemade applesauce. I tried hers as well as had my own and everything on the plate was cooked to perfection and the flavors played so well together. For my dinner I had the Duo of Duck Confit. There are not enough words to describe how unbelievably amazing this dinner was. My dinner consisted of a Long Island duck confit leg served with crispy duck roulades and accompanied by a mushroom risotto, arugula, and a lingonberry chutney. It was out of this world. The duck confit leg was amazingly melt in your mouth perfect with it's crispy skin and succulent meat. The Duck Roulades tasted almost like small bites of a duck meatloaf. The texture and the flavor were an absolute home-run. After our amazing dinner we didn't have that heavy, over-eaten feeling. But instead were happily satisfied. We did decide to try dessert off their dessert menu and were glad they did. We chose the Flourless Molten Cake. If you don't go for anything else go for the cake. It's light, airy, and melts on your tongue. It makes heaven seem to have a definition in food. And reminds me of why I was so interested in culinary arts as a young adult. The chef at Red Stripe makes food fun, with amazing technique and beautiful flavors all married together to make a dining experience beyond pleasurable. I highly recommend a night out to Red Stripe...
Read moreA couple of weeks ago myself and a large party of family and friends embarked on this restaurant for my cousins 30th birthday. Upon arrival as we were being escorted to our table we had to brace ourselves because the floor was covered in some kind of grease. This is unexceptable as many of the females in my party had heels on and ended up looking like baby giraffe taking their first steps. Furthermore once my party was seated we had then realized how humid and uncomfortable the air circulation was. After requesting to our waiter to adjust the temperature we then were informed the general manager had taken the key to the thermostat box enclosure home. WHAT!! who does such a thing in the middle of the summer. Most of the staff we encountered through the evening were perspiring so bad it looked as if they had smeared there foreheads in the grease on the floor. To add insult to injury our waitress who was a sweetheart ended up giving the birthday girl a bath spilling a beverage all over her. Thankfully the birthday girl was wearing black and didn't have any ill will towards the waitress because her service was outstanding despite the heat conditions she had to work in. Moving on when we went to cut the cake for the birthday girl because we had another event we needed to get to asap the manager on duty would not let us cut our own cake. She insisted that we could not cut the cake ourselves because it was to dangerous. This was infuriating none the less ridiculous given the fact we just finished eating steak dinners with our STEAK KNIVES! In any case our experience here was super disappointing despite doing all the research we had done to make our special ladies day superb. I truly hope management takes the necessary steps to correct...
Read morePlaced a reservation through Open Table for 8:00pm Christmas Eve. Arrived inside the restaurant at 8:03pm and was told by the host that the restaurant was closed; yet it was still busy. Two women ahead of me were getting sat at a table, just as I was told by the host she would have to ask the manager if my party could still dine. Then the host decided it’s alright to take my party seeing as she had just canceled my reservation. My boyfriend and I get sat against a dirty wall against a corner. After getting quickly greeted by Eric, my party decided what to eat quickly seeing as they were already closed. After telling my server we were ready to order, he doesn’t reappear for 10 minutes. Eric proceeds to write down our order, then explains they have run out of truffle fries. This doesn’t make sense seeing as other menu items have Parmesan or truffle so not sure what they ran out of; he then leaves for some time and finally gets my boyfriends drink. Our food didn’t take long to arrive. The fries are great, buffalo cauliflower could’ve been cooked a little longer but still good, burger was good, except Eric forgot my boyfriends bacon so he had to wait to eat it until it was grabbed. Enjoyed what we could, then tried for some time to get Eric’s attention. Took some time to get the bill, which arrived with another tables’ check, we paid and quickly left. Had some high hopes for this place after reading some of the other reviews, so left disappointed. Would’ve stayed and ordered more if the service wasn’t so poor overall. We didn’t expect fast service for Christmas Eve, but a little more attention to detail...
