Ladd Observatory — Attraction in Providence

Historic observatory right in Hope St in the heart of Providence. I was fortunate enough to visit Ladd Observatory on its 133rd birthday, and had an amazing time. The first floor is filled with older astronomical devices and various telescopic images of different celestial objects. I wasn’t expecting this, and it made it feel like a mini museum. The main draw is the big telescope upstairs, which I got to see Saturn through. Additionally, there were a couple of smaller telescopes set up on the roof as well. Ladd Observatory is an amazing place. I am an astronomy enthusiast, but I did not have any chance to go to any observatories before here. I liked the place and saw the moon through their huge telescope. The building is pretty old, but you can see the history of telescopes and machines, sort of. The staff and people are super nice...
