Nice park on the banks of the Seekonk River with sprawling, open fields, basketball courts, baseball fields, a community garden, and is right along a bike path. This park is great for a picnic or a pickup game of football or soccer. There are also some great views of the old Crook Point Bascule Bridge, a local landmark that may soon be refurbished into a LED art display. While the lack of a playground makes it less attractive to those with kids, there is a nice, small playground a couple blocks away. Right across the street is Roger Williams Square, with a monument dedicated to his arrival in Narragansett land and his meeting with the tribe sachems which ended in them granting him the land that became Providence. So even if Gano Park itself doesn’t have what you’re looking for in a visit to a park, you can likely find somewhere that can nearby.

Gano Park is a small park on the water near Indian Point. It has limited parking so I usually park near Waterman Grille. The pathway starts at the Goodwill store. In a few minutes you'll be at Gano Park. The path is along the water and there is a good view of the bridge which is in the up position From Gano one can head to Indian Point or walk up Wickendon Street.

Lovely park right on the water! The bike path runs right through it! The park is close to routes 95 & 195, easy to get to. If you walk the bike path you can get right over to India point Park 5 to 10 minutes depending on how fast you walk.

You apply the gold leaf at the edges, on borders and joins and where you want the light to catch. You paint it on with your lightest brush, and fill in the cracks, and hope it works.

It can either hide the flaws or highlight them, wabi sabi. It can remind you that everything is broken and fixed and broken and fixed again in an endless loop–and that you accepted it. Or that you tried to hide it, pretend away your weakness and wrongness.

The difference is you. Do you choose a reminder of frailty or the illusion...

Its a nice park to play soccer, fish and see jellyfish during the spring time, theres a nice little playground kids can climb up on and its really cool to go over the India Point Bridge to East Side. The East bay bike path starts there where you can cross over the bridge and at night time you can see a side of the city silhouette, bridge and high way all lit up and shiny.. very...
