Cozy, comfortable comfort food... I was craving a real ramen bowl and my son suggested we see how I did with Noodles 102 (I don't do well with too much heat) we started with Pineapple Fried Rice - delicious doesn't begin to describe it, it was difficult to stop eating it and leave room for my soup! My son got Drunken noodles and loved it... I tried it and his palette likes things hotter than I do - so that was a no for me. You select each part of your soup (or other noodle dish) (so noodle type, protein and flavor) I chose skinny rice noodles, with shrimp and coconut curry for my broth OH MY GOODNESS... veritable explosions of flavor... enough heat to warm me up on a snowy day but NO BURN on my tongue, the flavor was incredible slightly sweet, slightly spicy, all together YUMMY! Generous portion allowing my to have more of this wonderful soup for lunch the next day! I have gone back a couple of times, once for lunch and had the special - Salad, a selected entree and spring rolls
Read moreThe service was fantastic! Our waitress was very pleasant and very friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy, cute, little quaint restaurant. The reason why I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because I was not impressed with their noodle soup. If you're going to create a spin on a traditional dish, in my opinion, your dish should be just as good if not better than the original. I wasn't a fan of their broth. I'm Vegan so I asked for the noodle soup in vegetable broth. When it was brought out, I was shocked that there were corn floating around in my bowl. But, I remained positive and figured, hey let's give it a try. Maybe it'll be good. Unfortunately, the corn wasn't the issue. The broth tasted like it was directly from the can or the canister, warmed on the stove, then scooped into my bowl. It had no flavor. In addition, to this, they didn't serve the right condiments with the noodle soup. You can't serve noodle soup without the essentials, bean sprouts, lime, basil, and jalapeno. I wasn't impressed and haven't gone back since then. My first visit...
Read moreI've been meaning to try out this place for quite a while and finally got to do so. Went on a weekday, so wasn't really that packed and was seated right away.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the pan fried vegetable dumplings are really good and a must try. Not too oily and has a good vegetable filling to dough ratio. The dipping sauces are a little tricky to figure out though coz the soy dipping sauce it comes with is good but it tastes better when mixed with the siriracha. (Tip: if you ask them to make it extra spicy, they give some sort of spicy oil in a little bottle and if you drizzle that over the dumplings it does taste much better)
For main course, I had the drunken noodles with tofu and it was pretty decent. Would have been good to have the option for a spicy sauce base instead of the siriracha though.
Coming to service, its spot on and my server was kind enough to even give a mochi ice cream on the house at the end of my meal.
Overall a very good experience and would definitely be...
