Alright, buckle up buttercups, because I just had a religious experience at CHOMP, and it involved gnocchi, a burger, and a level of deliciousness that should be illegal in most civilized countries. Let's talk about this "Brown Butter Gnocchi Burger" February Special. I'm pretty sure they didn't just cook it; they performed some sort of culinary alchemy. Imagine a smash burger, already a gift from the burger gods, then they said, "You know what this needs? A fried parmesan and brown butter potato dumpling." Yes. A DUMPLING. ON A BURGER. My brain did a soft reboot. Then, they threw in an arugula butternut salad, like they were trying to be healthy but were also like, "Nah, let's just slather it in garlic sage aioli." I swear, I saw angels weeping tears of joy. It was like a flavor party in my mouth, and everyone was invited. Including the gnocchi, which, let's be honest, were the VIPs. My wife, bless her, opted for the "sensible" Chomp Caesar Salad... but then, like a true rebel, she added a smashed patty. Because even she knew, in her heart of hearts, that CHOMP burgers are not to be denied. I glanced over, and she was making noises usually reserved for winning the lottery or finding a parking spot downtown on a Saturday. And the Crispy Brussels? Oh, the Brussels. They were so crispy, I'm pretty sure they could have been used as tiny, delicious weapons. They were like little flavor grenades, exploding with savory goodness. I tried to share with my wife, but she just gave me the "don't even think about it" death stare while still chewing the burger patty. Honestly, if you haven't been to CHOMP, you're living your life wrong. You're missing out on the kind of food that makes you want to write dramatic poetry about potatoes and burgers. I'm pretty sure I saw a squirrel outside trying to get in after smelling my burger. He knew what was up. Five stars? More like five galaxies. CHOMP, you've ruined me for all other burgers. I'm now going to spend the rest of my life chasing that gnocchi-burger dragon. And frankly, I'm...
Read moreMy words cannot describe this gem. A buddy of mine told me about this place, however I follow this place on IG. FINALLY.....
I Said to a buddy of mine who is originally from RI but currently lives in NY who was in town for the weekend, I said "let's check out Chomp RI in providence for lunch."
We tried the wings w/ the mozambique sauce...(LORD have mercy, whoever made/came up with this idea needs to be slapped on how good this is).
But the main event, I got the Smoky bandit, one bud got the brisket hash and the other got the house burger......one buddy would not stop swearing on how good it was as well as grunting noises and the other killed his entire plate. The one that killed his plate said the chomp sauce was phenomenal. Anthony was our server and we all expressed to him: "this. place. is. P H E N O M E N A L!!!!!!!!" No, this is not an endorsement, this is truth because I now need to take a nap. One of my buddy's will be taking his father there tomorrow and I need a week to really process this GEM of a place before I return....which is a straight up promise.
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT place and I will be back with more friends. What a great vibe, beautiful ambiance, drinks are awesome, friendly staff and the food.....there are no words. I see this place staying around for...
Read moreThis was my second time eating at Chomp and it was a great experience. The food is fresh and full of flavor and the staff is kind and friendly. We felt so welcomed both times we came and the waitstaff went above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience. The restaurant was clean, modern and homey at the same time. We loved the look and feel of it! H1 waited on us the second visit and took such incredible care of us that it made me want to make this our spot! The first visit we came with my family and a friend. We tried the Carbonara Mac & Cheese Balls and they tasted incredible! Our kids LOVED their meals. My buddy ordered the Brisket Hash Burger - it looked so good! He loved it. My wife and I split the BBQ Hot Honey Fried Chicken sandwich and the house burger (we wanted to try both) and honestly, it would be a hard decision on what to get next time because they both were amazing! So much flavor. The second time I ordered the caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was so fresh and delicious. The price was good as well. We have told many people about this restaurant and look forward to coming back soon! Thank you for being consistent and raising the standard of hospitality, cleanliness, and all...
