Read moreGross. While in Providence, my wife and I thought it'd be great to take the kids out for some vegan ice cream (and the No Udder truck was on it's day off!!!) so we did a quick google search and found this place. They had a pretty decent selection of vegan desserts, so we decided to order a carrot cake cupcake, a chocolate cupcake with raspberry frosting, a couple of chocolate chip cookies, and a couple of milkshakes. The milkshakes (which we came for) were absolutely disgusting. Neither my wife nor myself could stomach them. It's hard to even describe why they were so bad - my wife's had a nasty aftertaste, both weren't really that cold, and it was like drinking mucus. The cookies were alright (slightly sandy even though we got the non-gluten free ones), and the carrot cake cupcake (after scraping the semi-hard frosting off) was GOOD. I'm pretty sure the chocolate cupcake was dry, but it was hard to say because it was still cold from THAWING OUT. A self-respecting non-vegan bakery wouldn't put out baked goods that were frozen then thawed, why would a vegan one not hold itself to the same standards? I'm sick and tired of going to vegan places only to eat second-class food. We don't eat this way at home, why would we pay to eat this way out? Oh, and don't even get me started on the wheatgrass (and the accompanying smell...). which, by the way, does NOT clean your body of toxins (we have something called a liver that does that), and it does not infuse your body with extra oxygen (again, another organ, the lungs do that just fine). Also on the menu...Chakra awakening juice shots! Need your heart chakra awakened? Try some hemp juice! Why does vegan food so often have to be found commingling with pseudoscience like this? The store was very clean and inviting. The staff...
Read moreThis place is absolutely amazing, hands down! My husband and I are not vegan or vegetarian, but we wanted to incorporate healthy eating into our lifestyle for many reasons. I found this place after doing an extensive Google search for healthier options, and we decided to take a drive to R.I. to see how it is.
When you first walk in, the atmosphere is so inviting. Everyone is all smiles and seems to be genuinely happy, from the employees to the customers. They have ample amount of seating to either sit, eat, and chat or to catch up on some work. This place is BUSY, but with how fast and efficient the staff is, you'd never really know it.
They have a nice assortment of many different vegan cupcakes that are amazing! I HIGHLY recommend the Lemon Lavender Cupcake 🧁. I've never tasted anything better. From gluten-free chocolate chip cookies to different brownies and more. Who says you can't have a fun treat while remaining healthy?
Their pre-made refrigerated food is amazing as well. I can't quite remember the name, but their soba noodles with shredded cabbage and spinach with, I believe, peanut sauce to pour over is chef's kiss 💋!! My son loved their chili with vegan sour cream.
I also tried their core drink (bananas, peanut butter and something else....I added turmeric for my health)! It was amazing. Had I known, I would have bought a larger size.
Truly, I recommend this place to ANYONE seeking vegan options or just to begin a healthier lifestyle all around. They will NOT disappoint!
Next up is their Garden...
