I did not know this permanent exhibit at the BYU Humanities building existed until this week! It has been there since 2006 after this building, the JFSB was built specificially to house it! There is a spiral staircase leading up to the exhibit, crowned with an oculus, both symbolic for Latter-day Saints and having ties to the temple. The Education in Zion exhibit is a must-see for anyone with an interest in education, whether parents, teachers, or lifelong learners. The processing room at the end of the tour was really special, too, and gave me a chance to ask myself some questions about how the Holy Spirit participates in my own learning endeavors. Read moreThis is such a cool museum that I didn’t even know was there!!! It contains interesting exhibits on education in Utah and the history of BYU. There are artifacts and displays that talk about the people that helped found the university and how BYU was part of a larger educational movement within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in response to the Edmunds Tucker Act.
