MOA Café — Restaurant in Provo

Normally I love the MOA café, and I was really excited about going today. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing like it had been in the past. I ordered my food at 1pm, but I was disappointed because the mac and cheese didn’t show up as an option. When I asked an employee about it, she said that probably meant they were out of it. My husband then asked some of the employees behind the counter if they planned on making more, considering there was still an entire hour until closing time. They said they wouldn’t be making anymore of it, even though there were literally only 4 options left on the menu at this point. We were disappointed, but our food came out quickly and we began to eat. Then we noticed some of the employees snacking on mac and cheese right behind the counter. They must have noticed our gazes, because they then took turns hiding in the back to eat their food. Now I get that the employees are probably allowed to take food home with them, but the fact that the told customers that there was no mac and cheese left just so that they could save some for themselves seems absolutely unprofessional. Removing the brisket Mac n cheese from the menu was the beginning of the end. The pasta I got today was a small portion lacking any meat or protein, the noodles were undercooked and all bunched up in a big ball. It tasted good when there were tomatoes in it but it was like two cherry tomatoes cut in half for the whole dish. And it’s more expensive than it used to be. They used to give bread that was really tasty with their meals but not anymore. It pains me to say that this place has seen better days. A few years ago it was a fantastic place to get some good food that was good value and tasted great. Now the portions are smaller, the food is more expensive and isn’t made as well. Ordered food at 10:45 am for food at 12:30. Got my half the order at 12:50, they said the soup wasn’t ready, got that at 1:15, then they said that the bread would be coming soon. They pass out bread to everyone around the except for me, I went up at the lady that said she’d get me the bread was chatting away with her coworkers. They gave me one breadstick at 1:30 and didn’t even apologize. Needless to say I’m pretty pissed with the service as I waited a whole hour to get my whole plate. I wish I had been compensated or apologized to or something, but everyone was just standing around talking to each other.
