I USED to LOVE this place. I went here all the time and loved it--but not any more. Apparently they recently changed management, which brought a new, confusing lay-out, and a big reduction is food choices, Overall an expensive place for a very sub-par experience. A once-BYU-gem is now a disappointment.
I walked in and was confused. It is unclear where you order or what you can order. The menu is hard to find and confusing. The foods I loved are apparently no longer offered (mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, big cookies, etc.). There is very little variety. The food is now PRE-MADE (probably in an attempt to reduce wait times) and sits out on the counter waiting for you to order it. I wanted chicken, and there was a plate sitting out on the counter so I got that food I got. The chicken was hard and felt old. I wanted fruit as a side, but apparently you cant get food as a side unless you order the "special" (which costs more). Which means, if you order a burger, pizza, or chicken, you cannot get fruit as a side anymore.Weird.
Guess what was playing on all of the TV"s when I walked in? NOT BYU's basketball game, even though we are in the BYU student athlete building. There was another basketball game on TV, and no one bothered to changed the channel to the BYU basketball game (on ESPN 2). I asked an employee if we could changed the channel to the game. 10 minutes later (no joke) the channel...
Read moreAbsolutely frustrating! Tried to use some coupons today that I got as a christmas gift and drove from several cities away, BUT Legends Grille weren't open during their said hours of 11am-2pm and 4pm-7pm on Google AND their own website. Very disappointed in whoever was in charge of the restaurant hours. Saw someone inside at 12:45pm for a moment but they weren't paying attention. Tried calling the Byu info and got rerouted a couple times to custodial and security to see if there is anyway, it could be opened or have a resolution to this situation. Went and tried again at 4pm with no one in sight. This wasted a whole DAY trying TWICE to redeem 4 coupons before going out of town AND the end of the year. Hopefully, this can be fixed by the restaurant 4...
Read moreThis place is always surprising me. I absolute adore their breakfasts. Last night I had their San Francisco Melt and I honestly fell in love with a sandwich. Brisket, cheese, bell peppers. It sounds like a normal sandwich but it was out of this world! I am very disappointed they got rid of the grilled Cubano, the best Cuban sandwich in the state, but since they replaced it with the SF melt, I guess I'll be ok. Also, even though it is on campus, and parking is very limited, it is open to the public and really has a fun sports bar (without the alcohol) vibe with lots of memorabilia and games...
