Memories Jewelry & Watch Repair — Attraction in Puyallup

Not sure how people can say anything, but nice things about Roth. I read one about the price kept changing, but it was lower then originally quoted and then the end total seemed to be after tax. Do people think that because they are in a kiosk that there is no tax?? Another person said that Roth is rude or doesn't talk, that is simply not true. We Asians are shy and tend to not be very talkative, but will speak when spoken to. I however am only Asian by blood and American by birth, so I talk my A** off. Roth is very kind and friendly, I had no problem getting him to open up. He's been in that location for 35 years. I told him that my father is from Thailand, He told me he is Cambodian and his wife is Irish and Thai. Now to his service. I originally took my Citizen Eco Drive to Fred Meyer, where it was purchased. Took 2 weeks for them to send it out for a quote. They told me it would be $90 for a mineral crystal and 3x that for Sapphire. I went to the mall and found Memories, Roth told me $50 for mineral and $150 Sapphire. So, when Fred Meyer called to get approval for the repair, I told them I wanted to take it somewhere else. It took 2 weeks to get it back (4 total). I was going to get the Sapphire, but Roth informed me that it's only a little stronger, it can still break and that he has one on his watch and he has to polish scratches out of it every once in awhile. So, I went with the mineral and said if I ever need it polished or replaced that I'll just come back to him. He said that if he had a crystal it would be a couple of days and if he had to order it, then it could take a week or so. I believe I took it in on a Friday and it was done by Monday. It looks amazing. He not only replaced the crystal, but also cleaned and polished it. My 5 yo watch looks almost new!! I also bought 2 lil charms and my total out of pocket was less than Fred's before tax quote. Thank you Roth, I really appreciate your craftsmanship and I can tell that you take pride...

I just got the RUDEST call from here. I came in almost 3 weeks ago to see of they could repair my grandma's watch clasp. They didn't have the size on hand but said they could order one because they usually carry it. They said it would be about a week. They also asked if I would leave the watch, but since I've never worked with them before and it is my grandma's sentimental piece, I declined. Then about 30 minutes later that day, a woman called asking me to keep my watch there. I declined again and she again told me they would call me next weekend. No call happened so I ordered a band from Amazon for half thr price and swapped out the clasp myself. They called today, butchered my name then said "anyway" and kept on about how they might have a clasp that works but the other was out of stock (isn't that why they were ordering one?) I let him know I didn't receive any call when promised and assumed they weren't going to be able to help me so I found an alternate solution. This must have made him mad because he said, okay fine and hung up! I guess my gut was right about this place. I'm sure they do decent work because they have a store at the mall, but service? No thanks. I hope they see this and can improve future...

I went into memories to see about having my dads watches repaired as they were handed down to me from my brother many years after my dad died. Both watches were not in working condition. Roth was so compassionate and kind knowing they were my dads and he is no longer here. Roth fixed one watch while he was very honest about having the other repaired which would have been very expensive and even then it wasn't a promised fix. If you want quality service, an honest professional opinion on fix and cost I would recommend going to them before going to anyone else. I have been going to them for a long time and will continue going to them if I come across a jewelry issue. They also have Jewelry in store that they sell, beautiful quality jewelry for a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend them. PS: I wear my dads watch daily and I am so happy it is fixed and running. Thank you...
