Just curious why they maintained eye contact, and let others know their food was ready while I stood by just waiting excited for the food cause it's my first time eating here, but they never let me know my food was ready. Just kept looking at me, and not with smiles either, like I wasn't supposed to be standing there, where others were also standing waiting for their food too. Eventually I went up to get my husband's money back and she yelled at me "you're food already ready, right there!". Now I was standing there for 20 minutes about, he already ordered, got his food and finished eating already By the time I thought to get his refund so that we could go about our night. I just took the cold food with a cold thanks cause she got out of feeling obligated in any way to give me the refund I now wanted instead of the now cold food. And before you think I deserved this because I might have said my order in a mean way, or talked down to her somehow when ordering like "um now make that a double (t sounds all over) , I asked if I could double the shrimp but I was like "can I double the shrimp on 8 instead of the chicken?" "it'll be extra" "awesome cool! I'll do that!" I actually was excited. And she didn't do that either now that I look back I got 6 shrimp in that container and chicken. but we paid for double shrimp, the total added the three dollars. I was just upset it was cold and I couldn't get a refund thinking it wasn't done yet, I tend to get nervous about those things. But definitely not going back, it was almost $20 for all...
Read moreI have eaten at this place, Oki Japan, a couple of times already in the South Hill Mall food court. The food tastes very good. I wasn’t very impressed with my food this time around though. The cashier was very friendly and quick to put the order in. Since the wait was long, I went to another restaurant to get my drink.
I had ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box that has California sushi rolls, A potsticker, two shrimp sticks, and seaweed salad. There were cuts in random places of my food like what you can see in my potsticker in the second photo. The sesame seed doma gando treats tasted a little off, but still good. Each ball was not completely covered in sesame seeds and with seeds unevenly cooked. I had to keep asking for soy sauce packets and only got 1 when I usually have 3 plus 1 packet of sweet & sour sauce. Also, my sushi rolls were not fully wrapped so I had to carefully eat them. This hassle for $18 of food that I paid for may no longer...
Read moreThe staff is super unhelpful! They leave your container open on the top shelf and call your number. I had 3 different containers, 2 hot, 1 cold and a large soda. I had a stroller with a 2 year old and no help.
The guy cooking the teriyaki finished his part of my order, hollered for me to pick up, I said 3 separate times that I have additional items. Then the shrimp tempura came out and the cashier left that open and pointed for me to pick that up and finally the sushi lady came up (at least that was covered) she called my order out and left that on the shelf. I asked the cashier if I could have it packed up, she started to pull out a bag and another customer came to the counter and said, “you can finish packing her things up first.” And the cashier threw the bag on the shelf and left it for me to do.
Awful, awful, awful! I said, “I guess I’ll do it myself!” And the cashier just smiled at me. Really?
The food was fine. Not great,...
