We had a fantastic experience at the Puyallup Mattress Firm, Rick was the most professional and helpful salesman I have had the pleasure of consulting with in a long time. Came out today to purchase a new twin mattress for our 5 year old son. We had planned at stopping in at 3 different stores: Mattress Firm, Mattress Depot and Mattress Barn. Our first stop was Mattress Firm, and honestly should have been our only stop. We were greeted promptly and politely, store was very clean and comfortable. Our little ones were with us and the employees didn't seem to be bothered at all by them playing on the beds which was very nice and reduced our parental stress. (you try to stop a 3 and 5 year old boy from running around, lol) Rick really listened to what we wanted and showed us a couple different options within the price range we were looking at. We found a great deal on the perfect bed for our son and were able to get an even better deal when we decided to purchase 2 instead of one! Rick even let us take advantage of an upcoming sale feature! We did let him know that we wanted to continue shopping to explore our options. Rick was extremely kind and understanding about that need, though my husband and I both think that he knew we would be back very shortly. Mattress Depot was our second stop. The sales guy was pushy, crass and more like a sleazy used car salesman than we were interested in dealing with. We have had good experiences with the Federal Way Mattress Depot, not really the case with the Puyallup branch. (Even if it seems like a better deal at Mattress Depot the professionalism and quality of people and product can't be beat at Mattress Firm.) Mattress Barn didn't have any mattresses that matched our needs, though the lady was incredibly sweet and professional. So within the hour we were back at Mattress Firm, made the deal and have 2 new mattresses being delivered to our door on Wednesday free of charge. Don't waste your time or money going anywhere else! We will definitely be back to take advantage of their financing offers to get my husband and I a much needed mattress upgrade now that our kids are taken care of. 5++++ stars! We came in on a whim on our lunch break as we have been to about 8 or 9 furniture/ mattress stores with no luck. From the moment we entered the store Ty was an expert at making us feel right at home. She allowed us to browse independently, made great suggestions/ callouts as we looked, and even asked very informative questions to help us find the right bed. We both have really bad back problems and Ty seemed to be 100% confident in helping us through our many obstacles… from our general back/ spinal problems, to our work from home positions causing further back pain, to our little dog who seems to always sleep in the most inconvenient places in our bed throughout the night. She even shared education on the importance of a great pillow (which I never would have thought about!) Ty gave great suggestions, was very calm and understanding, and I got the genuine feeling that she just wanted to help us. We went home to think about it and came back the next day to buy the mattress that she suggested! Another employee Dre was working, but took care of us for Ty and had the same service based reserve. I work in Human Resources and really enjoyed seeing the employee partnership and support for each other. It made us as customers even more excited to shop.
