Allen Aesthetic Surgery, PA — Attraction in Raleigh

Now that it has been a complete year since I’ve had my tummy tuck and lipo, I can now give a full review. The outcome of my results are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE I HATE IT. I went in with a pot belly, and a back that looks like a pack of sausages, and I still have a pot belly, and a back that STILL looks like a pack of sausages. When I went for my consultation, Dr Allen took photos, drew little circles on my photos circling areas of my body showing me what she was going to remove, pull down and do a abdominoplasty muscle plication procedure that will act like a girdle to keep my stomach flat. After Dr Allen showed me the before and after photos of other clients, I asked her if I needed to do both procedures, the tummy tuck and the lipo. She said YES, so based upon her professional medical opinion I did both procedures. I am so disappointed and upset with my outcome. I went back to speak with Dr. Allen because I STILL HAVE A POT BELLY, I STILL HAVE A BACK THAT LOOKS LIKE SAUSAGES, SHE DIDN’T EVEN DO THE ABDOMINOPLASTY MUSCLE PLICATION PROCEDURE. SHE CLAIMS I DIDN’T NEED IT. I HAVE KNOTS, LUMPS AND BUMPS, MY STOMACH IS CROOKED AND NOW SHE WANTS TO TELL ME THE REASON I HAVE A POT BELLY BECAUSE I HAVE VISCERAL FAT AND NOT SUBCUTANEOUS FAT. Now, while sitting in her office a whole year later, she wants to explain the different types of fats and ask me if I can pinch my fat, when she should have done that during my first consultation. Dr. Allen saw my stomach, and back, she took pictures, hundreds of them. AND NOW ALL SHE IS SAYING IS MY BACK ROLLS IS SKIN, AND SHE HAS ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS DEALING WITH THE BACK, AND HOW THE BACK IS A TOUGHER SKIN AND THERE IS NOTHING SHE CAN DO ABOUT MY STOMACH. I asked since she said I didn’t need the plication procedure; would she at least reimburse some of my money for that, she said NO. So at the end of the day, I am stuck with this HORRIBLE OUTCOME. I AM SO SO DISSAPOINTED. In closing I would advise. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY WITHOUT NOT KNOWING WHAT KIND OF FAT YOU HAVE. DR ALLEN IS GOING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY THEN TELL YOU AFTERWARDS AND PUT IT ALL ON YOU FOR EXPECTING SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN WHAT YOUR END RESULTS ARE. ...

PLEASE READ: I’m posting this in the hopes that it will save others from the physical, emotional and financial distress that I experienced using Dr. Allen for surgical procedure.

Dr. Allen performed a breast implant surgery and a lollipop lift on me. The results were atrocious and Dr. Allen took no accountability.

I had a a severe double bubble in both breasts. Even in clothes I looked like I had 4 breasts. I couldn’t wear anything other than a sports bra. Furthermore, the implants had migrated so far laterally, that I couldn’t move my arms forward past my torso without lifting them up over my breasts. Moreover the lift left my areola looking like they had gone through a meat grinder, puckered and deformed. I also loss of sensitivity to my nipples.

Dr. Allen refused to revise at her expense, she also did not refund my money, and finally, when I took legal action, she refused consent for her insurance to compensate me in any way. It cost me thousands for the original surgery by Dr. Allen and another tens of thousands to revise by a reputable surgeon.

I would recommend going elsewhere for surgical procedures. She is a cosmetic surgeon, which has much less rigorous training than a plastic surgeon.

I wish I would have never let her touch me.

09Jun2024 update to response from practice - it is clear there is no accountability taken for these results. To imply that a negative review is “dishonest” and that I “wanted” this result is disgusting. No patient would want to look or be left with the physical, emotional or financial impact of what Dr. Allen did to me. I’m not the only one that she has done this to. When myself and others left negative reviews about REAL experiences on the FB business page, we were blocked, and then suddenly there were generic 5 star reviews added...

I do not even know where to start with my satisfaction and appreciation for the experiences of the services I have received by the amazing team at Dr. Allen’s practice.

My first encounter began with my consult for a breast implant replacement and lift. Over the past 6 years I have consulted with several doctors in NY (recently relocated here to NC), which resulted in only disappointing opinions of performing a lift. I am a more complicated case I will admit, however my visit with Dr. Allen absolutely left me with so much joy, optimism with a “yes” rather than a no. She was very thorough in explaining the difficulty and yes of course possible roadblocks that could occur with any such procedure, but never did I waiver from going forward with her. I am about 6 weeks out and it went incredibly well. I have the result I have always hoped for.

My experiences at this office are not limited to Dr. Allen, as I have also had several procedures with Kyle. She is amazing and am always so thrilled with the results. She is incredibly careful and very precise in her treatments and always informative of what to expect prior and after each of them. Kyle has been a wonderful part of my ongoing quest to be the best version of myself that I can be.

Now on to Ashley and Maxine! They are such warm and endearing ladies that complement all of what I have expressed here and are unwavering in their support and positivity! Never have I felt that I am just another patient, and am treated with such individuality, which in my experience is a rare occurrence.
