Absolutely incredible place to live as long as nothing in your apartment ever goes wrong. The maintenance team are professional and fantastic as individuals, but the complex itself does not have your back on something as important as air conditioning. It's currently my 4th day in a row in a 90+ degree apartment slowly losing my sanity and hoping my cats won't die. But at least Andover was able to tell me that my replacement unit will be coming "later in the future" thanks to "Supply chain issues." Edit: In the end, we were forced to pay out of pocket for 5 nights at a pet-friendly hotel after our cats were showing signs of heat exhaustion. The A/C fix seemed to be expedited somewhat after more communication (again, the employees themselves were very professional and apologetic), and the new unit functions perfectly. In the end, we were stuck with a 90+ degree apartment for a total of 8 days, and another couple afterwards with a decent enough portable A/C supplied by Andover that dropped it down to the low 80s which, while uncomfortable, was actually inhabitable and was likely the best that could be done. This is honestly a fantastic place to live with this situation aside, and it would've been an easy 5 stars from me before this, but the lack of financial compensation and communication on a time frame for such a large issue remains a concern. As of 2024, the Fetch service you're forced to use and pay extra each month for by Andover delivered a commissioned portrait of my dying dog that took several months to complete to the wrong apartment. I notified them within 3 minutes of getting the notification and seeing a picture of the package outside a door that wasn't mine, but that never mattered. Never once got to see it and my dog had to be put down. I pay over 130 dollars a year for the pleasure of having my packages treated worse than default UPS. Just know to add 150 to what the posted rent states, and know that any service Andover makes you pay to use will happily screw you over and take your money. Update 10/23/24, Fetch has officially lost the 9th package of the year. But at least they got 3 of the 12 right! Fantastic to know that I'm paying every month for Andover to shift the liability over

Have to pay $25 month for garbage. $10 for removal and $15 for trash valet even if you don't want the service. Yet this dumpster often gets skipped on Mondays and overflows until Friday when garbage trucks return. No recycling dumpster either. Update: since office called the waste management they have done a much better job remembering to empty the dumpster twice a week. It's been great Pest control is now $6 month and there is not a rotating schedule IN other words you have to contact them everytime you want pest control to spray. The Fetch package delivery service is now $12/month and that is not optional *These are added pictures of what my apartment looked like when I moved in. The staff reported it was move in ready. As you can see, the cleaning crew did a rushed job. *since i have lived here , there has been a HUGE staff turnover. That is never a good sign about a company although it seems to be almost the norm to be short staffed now. (in general) *they don't appear to take the quiet policy seriously. In fact, the manager and staff have stopped replying to my emails about the noisy family that lives above me and constantly violates quite hours. NOt to mention twice now my ceiling has leaked causing huge piles of water on the floor due to something directly caused by upstairs neighbors. update 2023: my water usage went from about 700 gallons a month to 1600-1700 gallons a month. I was told someone from the water company would come out and assess. Then a new manager arrived and she told me the water usage wasn't a problem and nothing would be addressed And yes, staff stopped responding to my emails again. Maintence was kind enough to do a bucket test, which matched but still doesn't' explain the gallons use that have tripled. I am going to contact style residential in Chicago and see what happens from that. The 2 office staff are very nice, but that doesn't justify emails being ignored. * we cant communicate with other neighbors via the portal, because all comments have to be approved, and they wont approve any that are perceived as negative

If google would allow me to give this complex a 0 I would. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT ever move here. You might as well label this complex as a scam because all they do is take your money. I had black mold throughout my entire apartment and they would not come in and fix it. It ruined many of my personal items and I had to throw my items away. They wanted to me to live in black mold and had no regards for my health but of course they wanted their money every month. Also my A/C went out this summer for months and I had to pay $679.94 for 3 months of Duke Energy bills because they refused to replace the air conditioner. I had no A/C in the middle of summer and it was so hot outside. While my air conditioner wasn’t working it was leaking on top of my water heater which shorted my water heater and I had no hot water. Then from the constant leaking it blew my breaker and I had no power in my apartment for 12 hours. I was on the phone with the complex almost every single day and they could never give me a straight answer on anything. All of these issues went on for months. Oh and also my kitchen sink was leaking so I could to put a bucket underneath the pipes and dump it once it got too full because they wouldn’t come in and fix it. I have never in my life had to deal with individuals that are so selfish, lazy, unhelpful and have such disregard for someone’s health. I have emailed the Regional Manager with everything that has gone on two weeks ago and still haven’t received a response. This company is absolutely disgusting and should be shut down.

If I could rate this property with a 0 I most certainly would. This was the worse and most TERRIBLE experience I have ever had in the more than 10 years I have rented! I would not recommend this complex period. From the lack of communication all the way down to just rude customer service.

My time living with this complex literally started and ended less than a complete week. It began by giving this complex right at a month to have the unit I would be moving into ready. Upon moving I visited the office to ensure the unit was still mine (as I had reserved it with a security deposit, knew they had just been taken on under new management and no one had reached out to confirm my moving dates) and was assured it would be ready when I moved just 4 days later.

The unit was not ready. I began moving my things in a unit that didn't have a working furnace. After noticing I called the leasing office and spoke to Keithan which he then sent out maintenance people to fix the apartment that I had just been assured days earlier was ready. They REWIRED my furnace so that in order for me to have heat I would have to run it on emergency heat while using the breaker to shut it on and off. I went back and forth and pretty much at the end of it all they were "right" and I was "wrong" and I wasn't taking that for an answer.

After contacting Duke Energy and speaking with a pleasant young lady, Makiya informed me that it would in fact, exponentially increase my light bill for running the heat like that. After speaking with her I brought my concerns to the office which they literally told me they didn't know what to tell me.-Derrick actually said that to me. No one cares and that is half of what's wrong with the folks that are employed here. To make matters worse, I contacted Ben Burton, the director of property management and Steve Merchant the owner of the new style residential and magnolia capital, and the two literally made excuses as to why my experience was the way it was. Neither of them owned up to anything! Someone needs to be held accountable for the excuse of a property management that is supposed to be serving the potential residents of Raleigh. Make it right. ALL THE TIME, ALWAYS MAKE IT RIGHT!

I literally lived in that unit for 6 day's, paid these people a ridiculous amount of money Just To move out in less than a week after getting there. Save yourself some stress and headache! Go somewhere else. For Raleigh to be as big as it is with so much competition you will be happier somewhere else.

Oh and the sweet lady Ms. Lisa who got me to "buy" Into the place left them days after they went under new management! What that really means I'm not sure as I don't know her but from my experience and the way other tenants were treated AFTER they went under new management has me convinced. I just couldn't imagine such a sweet lady could work...

When I first moved here I loved the rent Special and the nice view of the lake from my apartment. I felt it was a little over priced for a one bedroom but when the view and washer and dryer I dealt with it for the year of my lease. Soon after I started noticing HUGE spiders that hopped like crickets all over my apartment. When I complained about that I was told it was because I was so close to the lake. Apartment above mine had some type of leak in their bathroom which caused water damage in the ceiling of bathroom and my bedroom closet. Reported that to be told the leak was fixed , but heavy mold grew in my closet ruining a lot of my clothes and a whole bin of shoes. End of July there was a foul smell lingering in the kitchen/living room area of the apartment. Reported the smell because I assumed something had died such as a mouse I found what looked like droppings under my kitchen sink but was told they were too “small” to be droppings , a maintenance worker came to check out the smell & found nothing. I was told there were never any findings of mice or complaints of mice ever. A spot of mold grew on my living room wall, when I reported that I was told that the smell maybe came from something that got in the wall, got stuck right there and died, and that they would have to cut a hole in the wall to find out what it was. That never happened. September came and a visitor in my house spotted a mouse on my kitchen counter & took a pic of it which is below . Called maintenance to come on the spot , they came didn’t see anything and said they would send pest control next day. When pest control came they confirmed there were mice in my apartment based off of the droppings and huge hole under my kitchen sink. He plugged up the hole and put down poison under my stove. After that I kept hearing the mice move about in my apartment, made another complaint and traps were put down. Hour after the traps were down one mouse was caught. I thought there was only one and I could breathe easy, 2 hours later another was caught. All in all 3 mice were caught ! There is still currently one or more on the loose I heard one just last night, they have been getting stuck to the trap but breaking loose. Today I move out and I couldn’t be more happier ! This apartment is infested with mice , mold still in my bedroom closet. Only accommodation I got for dealing with these issues is “allowing” me to move out a week earlier than I was supposed to. They dealt with my issues very nonchalantly insuinuiting I was overreacted for being shook up about mice being in my home. I moved here a yr ago from Ct I lived in the projects 10 years and NEVER had a mouse, yet had to deal with them in an overpriced...

Coming up on our third year of living here, we love it! I live here with my girlfriend and our cat. This is a safe place to live. The police and fire department are within very close proximity. We feel comfortable here. The office staff is kind and welcoming. The office staff know a lot of the residents by their first name and their apartment numbers. This has even been true with any new staff members that have become staff within our time living here. The maintenance staff is also relatable and kind. They have shown and informed me of a few tips for how to keep up a home, if we ever purchase a home in the future. There are two pools within the complex, but please do not dive in them. One located behind the main office and a second one located off of Shadetree Lane. There are two ponds within the complex. It is nice to feel apart of nature with the numerous trees, bushes, geese, birds, and a few squirrels that inhabit the area, watch out for geese poop occasionally! :D There are few insects within the apartments (at least ours) and with monthly (I believe) treatments for pests this also improves their unwelcome presence in your home. The geese also help repel insects with their presence, since they consume them as their daily meals. Trash and RECYCLING, are available and rarely pile up only due to extreme weather conditions permitting services from reaching any Raleigh complex. Recycling was a key reason for looking for a place to live somewhere for us, as some places do not accept this. PLEASE RECYCLE when possible! The apartment is located close to many different stores, shops, and restaurants within a few minutes drive. The complex is also a central location to the numerous malls in the area including Crabtree Valley Mall, North Hills, and Southpoint in Durham. The location is great for commuters who can access I-70, I-40, I-85 within a few minutes drive. Glenwood Avenue/I-70 is right next to the complex. There is a gym located at the main office, which currently includes; one elliptical bike, three treadmills, two elliptical machines, one leg press machine, one weight machine (not free weights, but will be coming soon according to office staff) I use it for upper body, medicine balls, stability balls (three sizes), mats, and resistance bands. There are many different people who live here. It feels nice to feel apart of a global community living in one place. As any place there are ups and downs, but the positive experiences have numerously outnumbered the negative ones. We are happy to have found an amazing place to call our home!!! Thank you everyone for the welcoming and warm residency we...
