The staff in the store part of this shop is fine and they have an interesting selection of merchandise. So, overall, I enjoy going into this store.
However, the post office counter staff is very rude. I called to inquire about a package that I left by their sign that says "If you don't need a receipt, you can leave your package here" (or something like that). When the tracking info wasn't updated online by evening the day after drop off, I called to ask for information.
The person who answered the store phone was fine and I could hear her just fine. But when the person at the post office counter picked up the line, I could barely hear her. I asked if I should call back. She said she could hear me just fine and acknowledged (or I think so) that her phone was the problem. Two way calls require BOTH people to be able to hear, BTW! So I couldn't really hear what she said about my package. I think she said that they have no responsibility at all for the packages left and wouldn't help me figure out what happened to mine. Then she abruptly said "Good bye" and hung up.
The story has a happy ending though because the tracking information did finally get updated online and my package is enroute. Lesson learned about the USPS counter at this...
Read moreThe WORST customer service. Amanda in the Post Office is Beyond lazy! For years she has been hinting that I should just drop my prepaid packages in a box and not request a receipt. Anyone who has had a package lost by USPS understands why that is a no-no. Well, Amanda, who says she is the manager and in charge of the PO, has decided she is no longer giving receipts for prepaid packages. All she has to do is scan the package and print the receipt. That’s too much for her. She said she will Not provide them anymore. I said, you should pity put up a sign. She replied that she didn’t need to put up a sign if she didn’t want to. Which made me think she is picking and choosing who she will print a receipt for. All of this is flat out unacceptable. I will not shop in that store anymore. And will be telling ALL my family, friends and business acquaintances about this treatment. Mistreatment of customers and failing to provide customer service will no longer be tolerated! Read moreI’ve shopped in the store and they have a great selection of items and people are usually nice. However, their USPS leaves more to be desired. I waited in line to get a medium flat rate box. I brought my own tape so I got out of line to pack the box. Then I took it back up there thinking they print the label like the actual USPS does. I waited in line with at least 3 other people behind me while the associates just talked to each other about personal things. Apparently they won’t print the label like the USPS, so I got back out of line to write the address on the box. I was told that I couldn’t write the address on or pack the box inside of the store and the lady would let me do it this one time. I know we’re amidst COVID, but I had a mask on and the store was open for people to shop and linger, so I don’t really understand why packing a box is an issue and why I would have had to go outside to do so.
