This short greenway spur of the larger Rocky Branch connects at Hunt Dr to its west where it goes to NCSU, Meredith, Art Museum, Crabtree Mall, Shelley Lake, Crabtree Greenway to Anderson Point Park. East across S Saunders where Lake Wheeler ends it goes to Walnut Creek Greenway which accesses west to Raleigh Lake in Centennial or into downtown through Chavis Heights to the Transfer Food Hall or east to the Neuse River Greenway that stretches from Falls Lake Dam to downtown Clayton! This stretch is along the new Dix Park which you can also just walk/ride on and all over for many cool groves, amenities & sites. Don’t be fooled by this seeming short part of Raleighs 110 miles of often connected greenway system. Raleigh plans to double this mileage over the next 20 years!
