Edited to respond to owner response to my review. You're website states that your pool is heated, so either edit the website to indicate that the pool is no longer heated or make that information available upon booking. I reduced my rating from 3 stars to 2 since now either the company can't keep a website updated or the responder is misinforming me.
Recently stayed here for 2 nights visiting friends. The main lobby is spacious and inviting. Very clean. Lots of staff about. Check in for Hiltons is a breeze using the app, as is the room key and layout information. It's May 1st and the pool was still not open. Major bummer on a sunny, 85 degree day. One of the reasons we booked the hotel in the first place, so huge disappointment there.
Top floor corner suite is large but underutilized. Lots of empty floor space with tiny furniture. Could easily fit a king bed but instead has a queen. Pullout Bed from couch was lumpy and thin. Main Bed was comfortable but the pillows were some of the worst I've ever experienced at a 2 or better starred hotel. 3x of them barely equaled the height of 1x regular sized pillow. Sheets were not breathable. 1 ac unit but no ability to have the fan running continuously. Heat or ac...no fan.
So the worst feature of the room was the fact that the toilet and the shower were in the same, separate room in the bathroom. So if someone was using the bathroom, one couldn't use the shower or vice versa. Horrible configuration for a room that supposedly sleeps 4. And the water temps were wildly inconsistent.
And service staff was warm and friendly, but definitely couldn't keep up with the weekend demand. Breakfast was gobbled up quickly and it took too long for refreshments to restock. We asked to have our towels replaced, garbage taken and bed made over the course of the afternoon but nothing was done 10 hours later. Quick to fix that but would've been nice to have it done upon arrival. I feel as if COVID policy of not making up a room after EVERY day of your stay has just been an excuse to work less now. Enough is enough.
So all in all, an average stay. Wouldn't return for some of the quirks in the rooms' layout, management dropping the ball on relaying the message to clean our room, and the fact that the pool wasn't...
Read moreWe have been here approximately 24 hours as of this review so I feel I can give a good representation. We are on the 5th floor, king bed with a couch. The rooms are very spacious, VERY clean, and that A/C is top notch! Hot flashes ain’t no joke but the air was cool and the sheets were soft! The bathroom has a large stand up shower with mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash. And let me tell ya - the body wash smells heavenly. The breakfast bar is a beauty. Now, I’m a big girl so you know I’m going to shoot you straight on this one. Waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, turkey sausage, yogurt, cereal, toast…. So many things!! Oh, and fruit for those of you that like to keep it G -rated on vacay. Everyone was so nice and smiling! I think they like their jobs and it shows! I’m not 100% sure what life is like around us with the exception of Wegman’s (what in the actual world - how have I never experienced this place?!), Starbie’s and Trader Joe’s. What I can tell you is - I had the best nap I’ve ever had in my life thanks to this amazing bed right here + the pool party downstairs. The location of the hotel is fantastic and I would even feel safe staying here alone or bringing my kids back sometime. Outside of the hotel bar area they have seating set up with those really pretty patio lights and what looks to be a fire pit. Beside that area is a pool- a pretty small pool- but a pool nonetheless. My only very small partial side eye was the birthday party that took place today- tons of kiddos in the pool and the seating area outside was - for the most part- unusable due to the party going on. Now, I’m not mad about it. I hope that child had an amazing birthday and collected lots of great memories - and gifts. I was going to hang by the pool today but decided not to because of the kid crowd ( don’t come at me. I have 4 at home and momma needed a talking time out) But the party gave me a really good excuse to stay inside and take a nap!! So cheers to you, new 8 year old!! All in all I would give this stay a 10/10. Nothing less. If you are on the fence just book this hotel. You...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed by the treatment I received at this Hampton Inn location — an experience marked by racial profiling, insensitivity, and a total disregard for basic human decency.
After finishing a long shift at work, I caught a Lyft to another Hilton hotel where I originally had a reservation. When I arrived, I was told they were overbooked and unable to honor my booking. At that point, the nearest available hotel was this Hampton Inn. I requested a Lyft, but the estimated wait time was over 30 minutes — so rather than wait alone late at night, I made the difficult decision to walk nearly 20 minutes to this property.
By the time I arrived, I was exhausted and urgently needed to use the restroom. Instead of being met with professionalism and basic human courtesy, I was denied access to the restroom and told I could not use it until I checked in. To make matters worse, a staff member made a degrading comment suggesting that it seemed as if I couldn’t afford to stay there. That statement was not only wildly unprofessional — it was a clear act of racial profiling that left me feeling humiliated, unwelcome, and deeply hurt.
I immediately called Hilton’s customer service to file a formal complaint. I was assured that someone from the hotel would contact me directly and that I would receive a refund for my stay. Unfortunately, no one from the hotel ever reached out. Instead, I was quietly issued 10,000 Hilton Honors points — a meaningless gesture in place of genuine accountability or an apology.
I expected far better from Hampton Inn and the Hilton brand. What I experienced was unacceptable on every level. It’s precisely this kind of unchecked bias that makes so many people of color feel unsafe and unwelcome in spaces that claim to serve all guests equally. I sincerely hope this review compels leadership at this location to reflect, retrain their staff, and address these discriminatory practices.
Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this...
