PROS: I love the equipment at this gym and I’ve met some incredible people here who are seriously dedicated to fitness. When I first started coming to Olympus this was great in helping me stay motivated, I made major progress because these people are inspiring to work out around.

CONS: There are a lot of bugs and the vibes in general are really off putting. When I signed up I was greeted and acknowledged daily by the person who signed me up. The more I came, the more I noticed other front desk employees on their phone or talking to other staff behind the desk, just ignoring patrons. The guy I told about the bug infestation a few weeks ago just replied “yeah” and went back to phone time. Also the women’s restroom goes days without being cleaned. There was actual poop in the little in-stall trash can for a really long time. Again, not all of the staff is inept, I have had good experiences a few times.

I’ve spoken with other members, mainly female, and the consensus is that this place has its fair share of judgmental and mean people and if you don’t fit in they’ll be sure to let you know by glaring or actually going up to you to say off the wall things.

The facility, aside from the bugs, is pretty cool, but I personally cant justify going when the vibes are so bad. Good...

They will continue billing you months after you cancel regardless of how many times they tell you they’ve stopped charging you.

I cancelled my membership in May (now august). I’ve been told every month my membership was cancelled and I won’t be billed again in person, over the phone, and messaging them on social media. Yet once again I’ve been billed.

I decided to cancel because the gym is filthy. Excluding the one day a week cleaners come in it is trashed. People never put their weights away so you spend half your time there picking up after other people. And all the wannabe influencers who have 3 different bags of camera equipment and take up multiple machines they aren’t even using to pile it all on top of gets old fast. Super annoying when you need to use something and can’t because someone with 30 Instagram followers feels the need to use it to store all of their camera stuff.

I loved Olympus when I first signed up and was a member there for close to 2 years. It went down hill though and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The only pro they have is that they do have the best quality and variety of equipment. But that’s quickly negated by all...

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR IN A GYM? Do you want a sushi lounge/pool/heated lockeroom floors/hairdressers/GARBAGE lifefitness(hammerstrength) machines? Then head on down the road to LIfetime. IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING IN SHAPE this is where you go. They have HIGH END BODYBUILDING equipment you rarely see in big box gyms because that equipment is too expensive and too expensive to maintain. STRIVE/PRIME/NAUTILUS/DYNABODY/BODYMASTERS/ARSENAL(most arsenal equipment I have seen at any gym) It was not crowded when I went because they do have a slightly higher price point I think but it is not crazy overpriced. This gym is comparable to Fitness Factory(100$clt) and The Office(40-50Lakewylie) so 70$ is not crazy expensive. One muscle group I would add a machine or 2 is biceps but they got everything else covered and legs and chest have a boatload of new arsenal stuff for. The bathroom was clean but there is one toilet in the mens room so be aware of this. Only been once but incredible vibe and getting a 45$ 5 day travelers pass took...

Been a member here for about 18 months. Best gym in the city for people who actually lift and do the work. The place isn't frou-frou but it has the best trainers and regulars of any place I've been, and I think I've tried every gym in town for at least a few months before I got fed up with the pretense and intimidation. The trainers and staff are super helpful. You can ask them to show you lifts you're not familiar with and there's no posturing -- just friendly, chill, generosity. And the regulars are just as kind, just as easy-going. Even tho most of the regulars are serious body-builders (and it shows!) they are also humble and so happy to help newbies and people (like me) who may not be into big guns but want to stay in good shape. I highly recommend!

I joined this gym after moving to Raleigh from Apex a few weeks back. I was training at Bucked up fitness. Olympus is a small gym that has that old school feel. If you like training in the early morning, around 4 or 5am you can enjoy being alone and at peace. I have been to this gym from 3am to 10am and it’s never over crowded. The equipment is not bad with a good verity to choose from. Downfall, not enough steel plates and you will find yourself hunting them down and places to re-rack them. People are nice and I’ve had no issues. This place is 24hrs with a phone app pass and is the best part.
