This is a good size library, very professionally run, with a great selection of books for virtually all types of readers.
I've taken my kids to several different libraries and this one is by far their favorite. They have the things they want to keep them interested whether it be anime, graphic novels, games, guides, etc. and an atmosphere that doesn't feel cramped or uncomfortable.
My kid has asked me to be dropped off and spend the day there. That alone makes this place worthy of 5 stars!
I myself can still find books on philosophy or whatever has so far caught my fancy to kill time while I read with them. At the same time, the place is open enough that I don't feel unsafe just letting my kids stay and read.
So far every staff member has been very friendly and helpful. Enough that it's hard to remember this is a government facility. Whether it's getting a book reserved, brought over from another location, or just finding something to read.

Read moreThis is a wonderful, small, branch of the Sac. County Libraries. I waited a long "pandemic year" for it to re-open. Only allowed one hour on a PC and a maximum visit of only two hours. Tuesday thru Saturday open from 10Am to 6Pm. Facemask required. Out of 14 PC's only 3 are available with social distancing. A decent collection of DVDs to checkout.(not nearly as many as the Folsom Library though) They used to have all the periodicals, magazines, and newspapers that mattered but haven't seen any since the re-opening. Hope they'll extend time allowed soon, not much to be done with only one hour of computer or electrical outlet to recharge. Super friendly staff but all different from who'd been there for years...

Instead of trying to compensate for his shortness they told me I wasn't slowed to move the screen closer to the chair for him to be able to touch the screen standing up. I called the district lady and never heard back. Just because my son is short does not mean he should not be allowed to play with the equipment that's meant for his...
