We came here for the kbbq kebabs experience. When we walked in we were given a choice to choose between them cooking the sticks for us or we do it ourselves. If you plan to cook the kebabs yourself, we were told 20 sticks minimum, which is 4 orders of kebabs and most orders come with 5 sticks in one order. So keep this in mind. . We ordered kimchi pancake, boiled dumplings, galbi, and 5 orders of kebabs, 2 bowls of rice. Which came out to 132. . Kimchi pancake was our least favorite. The color was orange and red. The flavor was bland. It came with a dipping sauce but it was still ehh... . Boiled dumplings was our favorite. We loved the flavor. The sauce it came with to dip was nothing special, thank goodness my friends are extra like me, made their own chili sauce to dip in. In one order comes with a dozen. . We ordered 5 orders. 2 chicken gizzard, one chicken heart, one beef kebab, one pork belly wrapped enoki mushrooms. -most of them didn't really stood out. It was just meh. My friend had better in the bay area at Stix. Each order was not cheap, it was an average of 13 to 15 bucks for 5 skewers with whatever you order. . Galbi , aka beef short ribs, this was tender. Barely had to chew and the beef was easy to gulp down. The flavor was good. It was $30 which is kind of pricey but I guess it's an average price now days. . Bonchons, we had the kimchi, friends says they like yd better. The beansprouts they gave us one time and it was my friends favorite. The pickled daikon and jalapeño was great. The shredded pickled daikon was good to refresh the tastebuds. . Overall it was just ok. Skewers were just ok nothing special for the flavor and taste. The experience was fun and different. I don't think it was too memorable, or like a craving for this experience. We were seated in the back. The service was medium, not slow or fast. The items on the menu is definitely on the pricey side. Not sure if it's good value for the food we got. I feel like there are too many korean spots competitive now days, which is better. I would give it another try in the future, but not my first choice or often. Hope this helps and tha KS for reading and have a...
Read moreThis place is nicely designed, clean and fresh looking. The seating in the back is a little awkward as the benches are pretty far from the table (about 2 1/2 feet?) so if you are a regular sized person you have to bend over at the table. The food is actually pretty good. We ordered the LA Galbi and it was around $16 about half the price of other similar places. Our biggest issues were two main areas. 1. The food took a long time to come out. We ordered the following LA Calbi (30 mins to come out), pancakes (25 mins to come out), cold noodles (20 mins to come out, wife said it was good), warm noodles and ramen (1+ hour to come out) and they messed up on the order and brought out the spicy warm noodles when we ordered the non-spicy one (for our kids). We reminded them 3-4 times and asked for updates during that time and was told each time it was coming. It got to a point where we we done eating and the kids still didn't eat yet. Also, don't order the ramen there, for $7.99 it was instant package ramen with one egg and nothing else (literally, no garnish, meats, anything). I was also interested in ordering the kebab stuff too and filled out a second menu (you have to fill it out and turn it in) and gave to the waitress and apparently she didn't put in my order. 2. The service, while they were nice, the wait staff's english wasn't passable. They struggled to communicate with us throughout the dinner. Especially when we were waiting so long for our food. The owner, the korean lady came out and figured out they messed up and gave us (and other tables) 2 free sodas and a few bag of chips for the kids and said sorry. That's why it's a 3 star review instead of a 1. Not sure if I would come back here with my family and wouldn't recommend it at this point until they correct...
Read moreHad always come here for dinner, but our last experience was a nightmare. It was dead and we were the only two there but the foods we ordered weren't as we expected. No rice was served with our foods this time, and it was weird. Normally it was good services but now the services are getting worse. Our japchae noodle has fresh chewed mint gum in it when we opened it at home. We didn't do anything to get treated like this. We ordered just 4 dishes and the waiter complained it was a lot for the two of us. It is the usual dishes we ordered. She isn't paying for our foods so why is she complaining. The restaurant should be happy people are coming in to eat in their restaurant. This has been the worst time we have experienced in a korean bbq restaurant who provided poor customer services and contaminated the foods to their customers. One of the previous was stating that they were discriminated against. We felt the same. Would give this place a zero star across the board.
*owner...this is the correct location and place we dine in. The container was used to show that the gum was real and nasty. This was in our japchae noodles. Bad way to respond to my concerns. As a business owner, you should take this seriously and take care of your customers with respect and good services. Don't discriminate and provide good hygiene. Make sure your chefs or staffs don't do this again because this is bad. Business owner should tell their employees to take this seriously. Google...this is not false information, and it is legit information and proof of this restaurant. We don't want this to happen again to...
