I Rode my Bike out to see the New Godzilla and Kong movie tonight and this was my very 1st time here in this Theater! The staff were Extremely friendly, welcoming and when I asked to see what the seats looks like the young man behind the counter didn't hesitate to show me the main viewing area and I was very pleased. The Veteran ticket pricing was only $4.30 which was the Cheapest price I have paid for a ticket 🎫 in a Long time, the movie 🍿🎥 was AWESOME, I was comfortable, the other guests were pleasent to chat with before the show and I had a Great time! Definitely looking forward to coming back for another movie soon and I highly recommend that You also come visit! 😁🤙🏼🏍️💨

Very friendly staff .. The lady who welcomed us when they opened seating should be our country ambassador. Nicest introduction to a movie ever.. biggest smile ,recognized people along with locals birthdays .. made u feel great.. she got behind the counter and helped with concessions. The ticket girl explained the history of the historic building.. very helpful with time of opening and greeting again from that lady was amazing. Theater has an upper balcony.. support local and visit this theater just a great experience with amazing staff on a rainy july 4th.. thank u from deadwood

We had the best time! The staff was absolutely amazing! Low prices, great popcorn, and history that cant be matched. It's been beautifully preserved and the theater has been in operation for over a century! I couldn't help wondering how many faces had looked up at that screen, who they might have been, what they saw.. We will visit every time we are in the area now!!

Best theater in Rapid City. The biggest screen, and strikingly good quality picture, great audio quality. You can tell they didn't half ass it; they actually spent the time calibrating the screen and audio. I feel like I shouldn't have to say that, but sadly some theaters just really do suck. The sound at the theater by the mall is terrible, really harsh and not pleasant to listen to.

I normally find surround sound distracting but they had the rear speakers turned low enough that it added detail to the sound rather than being distracting or sounding out of place like every other theater is to me.

The place is very nice and not run down like you might think since it's a pretty old building. Excellent popcorn, very friendly people. I'll definitely be coming back. I think it's one of the biggest theater screens I've ever seen. Really, a big case of don't judge a book by its cover. A beautiful old historic building, but...

Bought a large popcorn on Tuesday the buy one get one free night and didn't get the free one also didn't get my refill on the on I got just because I couldn't come to the sold out movie not even a month ago we got both our popcorns and refills on a Tuesday and didn't stay for a movie and only paid5$ 😭😣😭😣😭😫 this time it was 6$ families been coming for generations it was one thing when they got rid of the elevator that used to enable handicap to get to the screening room now its "sucks that you can't get up the stairs" always changing rules and unwritten policies. The kids they hire are rude and snoody. One time the accused my grand parents of sneaking in and we all had our tickets. when you ask why they put the popular movies upstiars and not on the main srceen after the movie on the main has been there for three plus weeks. "Well you will just have to go upstairs" scarasticly. they highly disciminate against...

This is an old theater that has so much character. I adore it. It also has the best/biggest screen in town with good sound. There is another screen on the top floor. It's quite a trek up the stairs to get there, but there are bathrooms up there, and usually another concession stand so you don't have to go back and forth up and down. Of the two, I for sure prefer the large theater on the first floor, but I will go to a movie in whichever one has the one i want to see. They also have lower ticket and concession prices than the other 2 theaters in town. And great popcorn. Sometimes, there is not a movie playing we want to see, so we will just buy popcorn to go and have movie night at home. Staff are super nice and always seem happy to package up some to go popcorn so you don't spill on the way back...
