It's been a while since I've visited Mary's Mountain Cookies in Rapid City, but I woke up dreaming about those delicious morsels this morning.
If you've never been to Mary's, you need to make the time. Not just for the delicious desserts, but for the friendly conversation the could strike up as well. I had the pleasure of not just meeting some of the employees, I had the honor of meeting the owners of this fine establishment.
You talk about a community staple, Mary's is a true example. First, the cookies. Food makes people happy. Good desserts make people happier. Add in some conversation and you have a trifecta of goodness. But wait, it gets better, wait for this - the quadplex - these fine folks give back to the community as well via charity.
What more could you ask for? Ummm, how about ice cream. You asked, you shall receive!! Yeah, the ice cream cookie.

The ones with cream filling could only be described as heavenly!
And they make ice cream sandwiches the old fashioned way: you pick the cookies and the flavor of ice cream, and they put the ice cream between the cookies.
Bought 8 more cookies a few days later, for the trip home. (Got pulled over by TSA because they couldn’t be identified, inside my backpack, on the scanner.)
Other family members agree: if Mary’s was anywhere near where we live, we’d never go to Crumbl...

That time I got the s’more again because that was my absolute favorite, and also tried the Cookies and Dream (Oreo buttercream between two Oreo cookies) and Lady Eleanor (sugar cookie with almond glaze and sprinkles). Everything was 10/10 and also on both visits the girls that helped me were so nice. Highly recommend a...
