I was hiking up the creek at Thurman Flats a few days ago when I lost my balance (holding a toddler in a carrier in front and back pack with iphone in the pocket in back). Needless to say I went back and landed in the water. My backpack was barely wet, and the same for my phone. We quickly pulled it out and dried it, and it continued to work taking pictures, receiving texts etc. Thinking I had narrowly escaped the death of my iPhone 6S, I continued to use and then charge it when I got home. It started to fry! I realized I needed to dry it out, so I tried the oven at a low temp, the bag of rice, etc and after a few days, it just got worse each time I tried to turn it on. I think had I just gone to drying it out right away, I would have avoided the damage.
I finally gave up and called D&R to see if they would try to fix water damage and they said yes. After testing it, they realized the screen and batteries were fried. They replaced them with factory parts, guaranteed it for 6 months, and were even able to take my brand new ZAGG glass screen protector off and transfer it to my new screen. I was relieved to not have to go through the hassle of getting a new screen protector through the warranty, and that they guarantee their work. Even after opening it 4 days later, they still found some water inside and dried it for me.
Savannah at the front and the gentleman that did the work were both kind and very professional. I couldn't believe how fast they turned it around! Lastly, There's another place in town I almost went to, but after reading their reviews and seeing a few people comment that the new screens weren't apple parts and the depth function didn't work after having it replaced, they said they'd wished they'd gone here. So I just went for it and am so glad I did. I will 100% refer friends here and come back if I have to.
And FYI, if you ever suspect water damage, you're supposed to turn off your phone immediately, do not use it or charge it, and immediately get to drying it out for a few days. Rice bags or purchase dessicant packs from the hardware store with your phone sandwiched in between in a ziplock back....

I had a screen repair done here a few months ago. At first, the service seemed fine. But when my phone stopped working after a short drop, I found out the warranty didn’t cover it — because any physical damage voids it entirely. That makes no sense, considering most people get screen repairs due to physical damage.
I understand having policies, but this one feels overly strict and kind of defeats the purpose of having a warranty. After some back-and-forth, a bank dispute, and negotiating, they eventually offered a free screen protector as a goodwill gesture. I appreciate them following through, but it definitely took some pushing.
Bottom line: If your screen fails from a minor drop or normal use, don’t expect the warranty to help. Read the fine print. They will help if you advocate for yourself, but be ready for a process that’s not...
