Have been enjoying "El Burrito", my whole life, 50 years. Originally in either Colton, San Bernadino, or Highland 🤔? can't remember, but my parents enjoyed it since the early sixty's, separately, then as husband and wife. They would "cruise" the area, then hang out enjoying burritos and "adult beverage's" with friends and family. Kinda became a tradition as well, for my siblings and I, if close by, our parents would get us all food, and share fun/crazy memories 😁. I introduced my wife 24 years ago, to "El Burrito", and 2 kids later, they enjoy it as well!! They've kept it simple, authentic, homemade, made to order, and "catered" to the "every-man", and because such,...They are a treasure, amongst wannabe "taco stands". How else could you have lasted, decade, after decade, after decade?🤔 The best way to sum up my opinion, review, rating, feelings, of "El Burrito"........is the end of the movie "Ratatouille", when the food critic, taste the simple, "peasant" dish, made up of simple vegetables/seasonings, and instantly transformed back to his childhood, and his mama making him that dish, on a cold rainy day, 😢, that's what I feel, as I delve into that delicious tortilla wrapped goodness!! The complete essence of "comfort food"!! My mama, has been gone for 19 years 😢, but I sure can "transform" back, all those years, and remember sitting in her lap, listening to her stories, with such fondness 😊, and enjoying an unbelievably simple pleasure in life, food+family =love!! Thank you, "El Burrito", for the food and memories, Paul...
Read moreFirst time here. This is NOTgood Mexican food and it isn't real Mexican food. You guys use greasy ground beef in your tacos?! If I wanted ground beef tacos, I would have fried up some at home myself! It looks like real Mexican food on the outside, but not on the inside!. ITS LIKE BITING INTO GREASY BEEF WITH LARD MIXED IN! It should be shredded beef, soft and tasty on a crunchy taco shell but noooo... it's NASTY!
The enchilada should be baked and moist. Instead, It's dry and the cheese inside is cold! AGAIN CHEAPLY MADE FOOD. Where did you learn to make this bad food? If you know real Mexican food, this is not the way you make it!!!! This place is a hole in the wall! Not a place I'd be thrilled to go to.
You guys charge for a paper cup of WATER🥤 25 CENTS FOR THE CUP SHE SAYS. WELL ...IT'S MADE OF PAPER! NOBODY ANYWHERE CHARGES FOR WATER. IT'S FREE WITHOUT A CUP BUT YOU CHARGE FOR THE CUP RIGHT? RIDICULOUS!
This place has greasy squishy food. 🤢 $expensive$ and not worth the money we pay for and we regret finding out about it! Cheap ingredients and cheaply made.
We know real Mexican food because we're from San Diego. Closest to Mexico than you guys. They have dozens of different kinds of real Mexican food places there in San Diego.
Your taco sauce sucks too. 🤢 😡 THIS IS NOT GENUINE MEXICAN FOOD IT'S NOT GOOD MEXICAN FOOD IT'S NOT EVEN...
Read more08/07/2020: I absolutely love this place. First time coming here. I couldn't be any happier, and it is very authentic. I'm pleased to come here again anytime. We ordered two Specialty Garbage wet burritos Chile Colorado. One Horchata and one Coke. We didn't completely finish ours, but it was great leftovers to save for home. Recommend a fork to eat with as well because there will be some spilling out.
They have great options from Classic burritos, the Specialty burrito, a La Carte, Value meals, dinner plates, two premium drinks (Horchata and Jamaica), side orders, drinks (soda, tea.. etc.) and Vegi-Grande burrito.
Update: It still was just as good as I remembered. This time, it was just my daughter and I. We halved the wet Chile colorado steal burrito in red sauce with extra cheese on top. She's older now to where she can chew meat. She loved it, she said, and we shared a drink. This is a must go-to. I want to bring my grandparents to taste outside of fast food they eat daily.
I recommend the Horchata, I personally liked it. I try to test every Horchata at any Mexican based location and this place was one of my favorites. Next time I want to try the quesadilla meal and the...
