Read moreFor the 4th of july... The website is very misleading. First of all the website states that parking is only 15 bucks, its actually 30. After waiting in a line for parking for about 1 1/2 hours we reach the pay booth, apparently the ONLY accepted currency for parking is cash (which they dont tell you) so if you only have a card after staying there in line till u get there, you're screwed. Also, there is ANOTHER website to prepay parking, because I didn't see it on theirs but yet they had a list of people who had already done so. The website states no tents and no pop ups, but don't worry cause there will be plenty who have them. The fireworks on the 4th were par and you're left staring at the ones at the nearby beaches instead.    Read moreThis is a wonderful place to go. It's low key and fun and a place you can take the kids and grandparents and spend all day knowing that everyone is getting their vitamin D and having a blast too. It's a diverse place that represents LA. Mostly mommies and children, which is a cool vibe. The lagoon is seawater and easy swimming. There are areas cut off for different swimming abilities. The parking is decently priced and you get validation. My one complaint: it's seasonal and only open during the summer. This breaks my heart because I would be here all the time. Anyway, whether you're a local Angeleno or an out of towner visit this place for laid back fun in the sun. Oh and they do test the water consistently, as an added...
