I put this review on Yelp as well but was looking up their phone number as I'm about to call them about my other son's Nintendo Switch so thought I'd copy my other review here too. I will update with anything relevant after I take the Switch in.
I'm so impressed with this place. I had a non-urgent issue - my son's PS/5 had stopped working. I read online about all sorts of things to try including firmware upgrades from safe mode. Nothing worked - seemed the unit was not staying on long enough to do anything.
I took it to A-Solution. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a video card issue - but the video cards on PS/5s are not readily available (and they are soldered down). Their technician offered to try to find a replacement part from 3rd party sources. I said "what if it doesn't work" and he said "then I won't charge you." I left it with him while I went on a business trip.
He was not able to find a replacement in any reasonable price point but I learned a few things about them. 1) They are high on integrity and customer service and this is the type of place I like to do business with. 2) Excellent technical skills. I'm not skilled at doing things on the hardware side but I understand the basics and both of my discussions with their technician increased my confidence. 3) I did not transact with them but I believe their prices in the store on accessories were very good. Its mainly points 1 and 2 that matter most to me. Next time I have something to repair, I'll drive the 35 minutes from Sammamish as I'm really happy to have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery professional people. Brought in my completely fried (short circuit- don't leave your pc charging on its side against a table with a vase on it) hp gaming laptop a few months ago, on April 10th. They assessed the damage and diagnosed the short circuit for free, shipped in a new motherboard and installed it, giving me updates every step of the way and whenever I asked. The repair in total took around 3 weeks (mostly shipping time) and I got my laptop back, fully functional, on May 2nd. They agreed on a flat rate of $400 since I was paying cash, for a ~$800 ($1100 when i got it) laptop I thought that was fair. I also just really needed it back and didn't want to get a new one. It did develop a few issues that probably could have been fixed for free if I had brought it in when I first noticed them during the 30 day warranty time but I needed it for school, so thats on me. The only thing that could've made their service better is if they discussed other options with me, like salvaging the data and getting something new, but for their professionalism they still deserve 5 stars. I will be bringing my laptop back soon because now it needs the...

Took my iPhone to Apple first. They couldnāt figure out what was wrong with it and didnāt seem particularly interested in trying. Instead, they pushed me toward buying a new phone. No real effort, just a sales pitch disguised as āsupport.ā
Then I found A-Solution.
They quoted me $130 for a full repair ā totally fair. But when I came to pick it up, the technician told me he was able to salvage some internal components and only charged me a fraction of that price. He couldāve taken the full amount. I was ready to pay it. But he didnāt ā because it wasnāt necessary. That kind of honesty is rare, especially when thereās nothing stopping someone from taking the full payment.
This happened at a tough time in my life, and getting that kind of straightforward, human service meant a lot more than just a working phone. It reminded me not everyone is out to squeeze every dollar they can.
A-Solution didnāt just fix my phone ā they did the right thing when no one was watching. Canāt say the...
